Good
The media could not be loaded. Have it for 2 days and it runs good. Very quiet ! Just at the start up makes a slight noise like my old one did but stops after a second! So far so good, I'm happy for the quality and price. Will see how long it will last! I would recommend!

leaking, faulty
I installed this compressor maybe a month ago but ordered it 2 months ago. It was a bit noisy and is already leaking from the back of it. Would really like a warranty or be able to replace with another unit. buyer beware.

Works, but old bearing
The compressor was painted over the old paint. The bearing is making a slight sound. Took the clutch off to inspect the bearing, and it was still the original one(made in Japan), was not replaced as part of reman. Would have been much happier if the bearing was new. At least now the AC is working and blowing cold.

Didn't reinstall the AC clutch spacer after rebuild
Haven't installed it yet but looking it over, I noticed that the pully wheel wasn't free spinning. The spacing between the pully and the clutch should be 0.3 - 0.6mm and on mine it a 0. Took the clutch off and realized the spacer wasn't in installed in the front clutch plate plus there was over spray on the clutch face itself that would have bound up most likely if the spacer was there. I have a replacement clutch assy. so I'm hoping the compressor part itself is less noisy than my busted one when installed. for sure not a drop in replacement in this state

As good as factory.
update: 6 months later. Still working great.Have only had it in a week, but unlike the other reviewers, mine isn't loud at all. Its quieter than the (2014) factory model. The AC was always weak before, and this one is only a bit better, but for 1/5th the price Subaru was asking for it, I'm very happy. Will update if this thing fails, but it seems solid. Was really clean and kicked in right away. Also, it came pre-filled, which was nice.Installed into a 2014 Subaru Impreza Sport Premium (2.5), used 111 pressure

HUGE Savings and quality product. I wish I could give it 10 stars.
It works great, HUGE savings. I paid like $150 or $160 for this thing and its basically like new. You try to buy one of these at a parts house and you'll spend easily $500-600 for a REFURBISHED product. A NEW one will cost you $800-$1200. And then you have to buy the oil! Trust me, I checked 3 or 4 different places. It's absolutely insane how these "DIY friendly" institutions are ramrodding your wallet. Like I said I bought this thing for like $160; it came pre-oiled, the high/low ports were sealed up nicely, and it was packaged with care. I wish I could give this guy 10 stars.
