Everything you need to know to big wall!
Great book even if you’re an experienced climber. The book breaks down every aspect of big wall climbing with pro tips, explanations of the latest gear and gadgets, and tips on how to top out. I especially liked the techniques on how to move fast and light without getting bogged down with hauling huge loads. Highly recommend this book, especially if you’re looking at El Cap or other long Valley climbs!

No terrible headaches or suffering
Wanna climb a big wall? Don't hesitate. Buy this book. I summited The Nose after following (most) of Chris' protocol. As a team of 2 we freed up to 5.10+ and took 3 days. No terrible headaches or suffering. Lots of useful tips and tricks in here too.

Physical copy not necessary
It was kinda nice to have a physical copy on me when training but all this info is online and with videos that make the online versions better than the book

Yes, you can climb a big wall
Great step by step guide for those wanting to climb a big wall but have minimal climbing experience. A few typos but otherwise great.

Fantastic beginners guide (and one for unlearning bad habits for experienced aid climbers)
This is BY FAR the clearest, best structured, clearly illustrated, logically ordered, well written guide to learning big wall climbing. It lays out a step-by-step, lesson-by-lesson approach to mastering big wall skills sequentially at a local crag, climbing wall or even tree! It clearly introduces necessary gear and what you can improvise or leave till later together with guidance on good gear from the unashamedly opinionated author. The authors opinions and judgements will divide some who have experience and disagree I’m sure but for a novice they provide a clear, experienced voice to cut through and provide a compass point to understand the mass of conflicting opinion online and in other books. It is the anti-thesis to Ogden’s “elite technique series” confusion-fest of a thesis..It is the *perfect* partner to orient and guide you through Andy Kirkpatrick’s authoritative and ultra-detailed encyclopaedic “higher education” which will fill in all the blanks and show the alternatives. It shows how far things have come since Long and Middendorf’s classic and original instruction book which is a classic and a great read but no longer really works as a great instructional manual. In a word: excellent

Pensaba que sería más amplio
Buen libro. Aunque me esperaba más técnicas. Se me queda un poco básico. Aunque viendo el libro y su objetivo es lo correcto.
