I am very pleased with the intensity of colors in these beautiful shells. The ones I got have no bad smell or anything. I ordered more for my mosaic project.

Pretty little shells. Got a few tiny clamshells in the mix, which is no problem.Came very smelly and dirty. Gave several 5 min bleach baths in hopes of not messing with their natural shine.About 20 rinses to get A LOT of sand and gunk out of them. They still smell, but I’m also leaving laundry detergent in the container in hopes of it smelling better.

Really worn, broken and faded. Not nice for crafts.

The shells themselves are cute and darling. Nice assortment of shell types. But be warned, the shells have not been rinsed or cleaned at all prior to packaging and have a very “fish going bad” odor straight out of the container. I have them soaking w/ dish soap and a touch of bleach and that should take care of the problem.UPDATE: I returned the sea shells as they had many dead sand fly bugs inside them which were flushed out by the soak and rinse.

These shells arrived quickly and exceeded my expectations. They're clean, have no smell at all, and are ready to apply an acrylic clear coat. (They aren't really colorful until you put them in water or apply a clear acrylic varnish.) I make succulent fairy gardens and use them for added interest. I especially love the pink ones and about half were pink. (A few people mentioned receiving dirty, smelly shells in 2020 but that was not the case in 2022!) I received NO compensation for my review!

The average diameter of these shells is just over 1/4" and exactly what I needed. I have enough variety in the type of shells yet enough consistency in the size that I can mix and match with larger shells elsewhere. Most important thing to me was finding the same size shells yet still have a variety, and that's what I got with this purchase.

The media could not be loaded.  They are very pretty once washed. Before that they look dull due to the dust around them. Other then that none where broken and they look great! There’s also a good mix of colours!
