Shipping was fast and the product was well packed. Install requires a pair of snap ring pliers. If you don’t have a good set of snap ring pliers, or if you’re not familiar with just how far a snap ring can fly, I’d recommend getting help with the installation as there is not a second snap ring in the package. I paired mine with a Warn Epic Shackle.

Nice piece, however the end of the USA Warn Zeon 10S would not fit without being pressed into a smaller loop. There are instructions within the box for the modification (aka mallot), however, it states only "Import" ropes wont fit. This is absolutely false. Not a big deal, but don't be surprised!

Outstanding addition to your winch, I've owned 2 of these in the past and there Great, better then a hook, just grab a true saver (or which ever strap you want) run your 3/4 clevis (shakle) hook up to the Factor 55 and pull. With a hook alone you still have to find a way to attach to a point (again strap or tree saver) and when you finish attach a hook to a point on you vehicle vs. just winch in to the Factor 55 and you finished and your rope is not out in the sun or there for a theives to steal it or your rope (depending on your mounting situation) my winch is hidden behind my bumper and my clutch release takes a special tool to engage and release.

Looks great, made from aircraft aluminum, hard to believe its as strong as they say it is because its incredibly lighter than I thought it would be. It cleans up the front of my fairlead; no more dangling hook attached to an adjacent D-Ring, just this nice looking shackle mount centered instead. I must add that the color I chose (green) is my favorite shade of green and the paint job is excellent. Its expensive but it gives you a more refined look on the front of your Jeep all the while maintaining the ruggedness. I'm deducting a star because I believe they should be selling these for a few bucks less.

My pet peeve: cheaply made products. This shackle is not cheaply made! I decided to get this shackle because it appeared to be a quality made shackle so I ordered it. When it arrived via Amazon Prime, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was a highly precision made shackle. I was impressed with the level of workmanship that was put into this shackle. The design and manufacture to fit and finish is second to none. Rated at 16K pounds, this shackle should outperform my winch, so failure at this link is not a concern. Overall, I am impressed with the high quality standards that Factor55 have and would not hesitate to buy another product from them. Two thumbs up!

This is absolutely the best upgrade you can possibly make to your winch. It makes it a closed system which is much safer than a standard hook. The way you use it is with a D-shackle. A shackle connects a strap to the ProLink and nothing can come apart when winching. Much safer than attaching a winch hook to a shackle on the bumper for everyday driving as well. I should know, I lost a fingertip tightening up a winch cable to the bumper before buying one of these.

Love how looks and the quality of the brand is good.. let’s see after a couple months of heavy use..
