I had been using 'Denise Interchangeable' knitting needle on a shawl with yarn made of merino. The yarn kept catching on the join between the needle and the cord. I have other Knitter's Pride DPN and liked them. So I bought this circular needle for my project and it has been smooth knitting ever since.

I used these when learning to knit and they are definitely great for that. The wood is smoother than most allowing the yarn to glide from one side to the next easier. I'm no longer using wooden needles and I don't miss them at all. If you're a beginner or have issues with yarn slipping these are perfect for that. The cord does kinda kink up when working on either side like one would making socks on circular needles.

I love the way that these needles feel in the hands. The yarn glides so smoothly and with the right amount of hold compared to a bamboo or stainless steel needle.Unfortunately shortly after casting on the needles began to split and crack along the seams of the wood grain and they became unusable. I probably will not order again.
