Botanica by AirWick Air Freshener Naturally Derived Wax Candle, ISLAND ROSE & AFRICAN GERANIUM, Up to 40 Hours Burn Time

Excellent value and long lasting scent.

Smells gorgeous! For the price it's fantastic. I would however be very surprised if it burns for 40 hours. I would guess so far that I've had about 6 hours of burn time and it's close to half way down. I've been pinching off the wick each time to stop it burning really fast. Any other tips on extending the burn time life of a candle would be appreciated 👍

When you open it and smell it the initial scent is sickly and a bit old woman. Light it though!!!! It's beautiful. I would definitely buy again.

Literally this is one of the best candles that I've bought and for 5 pounds? it burns all the way through and releases a very decent scent. It's literally same quality as yankee but with cheaper price.

I bought this thinking it would be different to other scented candles but I was wrong the scent is strong when you open the lid but not when it's burning, also because the glass is brown you can't actually see the flame.

Judging by the other reviews there are different batches of these AirWick Botanica Island Rose & African Geranium candles in circulation. I got one of the ‘strong’ batch and it’s overpoweringly fragrant when lit, really far too strong. The scent is pleasant enough and has a more natural quality than most of the AirWick range and if you just leave the candle sitting out without its screw-top lid it imparts a subtle floral aroma in your room.If you make the mistake of actually lighting it then beware, you won’t want to leave it going for long. About half-an-hour in our moderately large lounge is enough to give a real prominent scent that lingers through the night and can still be detected the next morning, though by then it’s subtle and very pleasant. If we leave ours burning for an hour or more then you can taste the scent and it’s really far from pleasant.I appreciate that AirWick are trying to produce (or at least market) a more natural product and there’s much talk of essential oils and ‘natural derived wax’ which could mean anything really. It’s still a Paraffin wax candle with artificial fragrance infused with essential oils, but at least they’re headed in a nice direction. If it was more subtle the effect would be a lot better and I hope that we just received an early over-loaded batch and that this eye-watering level of fragrance isn’t what they intended.

This is my favourite scented candle. Lasts a good amount of time and smells lovely. Most importantly doesn't give me migraine like a lot of scented products do.
