An excellent tool for the active person
This is a very useful tool for active people. Illustrations are very clear and assist in identifying types and areas of common injuries. Suggestions for exercise and therapeutic activities are very helpful. I would recommend this book for anyone who is interested in maintaining good body condition and caring for simple activity-related injuries while identifying more significant injuries that require professional attention. I really like this book and use it daily as a guide to stretches and strength training for problem areas. Parents of active children are likely to appreciate this guide for addressing common sports injuries as well.

Very easy to use, specific, well-diagrammed
Bought my own copy after borrowing from library. Great diagrams, instructions and well-organized. Used most recently to focus on IT band inflammation. I also appreciate the levels of concern laid out in a matrix - good way to self-appraise the aches and pains and manage expectations of how long before it will quit hurting or at what point I should go see the doctor (and all the in-between levels, too).

Perfect book for the beginner athlete and his mom's peace of mind
I gave the book as a gift to my beginner athlete. We tried several other books with no advice taken from them by the stubborn youth until this one was published last year. I would rate this comprehensive collection of sound advice with great illustrations as the best.As a mother of a bodybuilder, I highly recommend this book.
