Sams Creek Frederick Full Surround Leg and Skirt Conversion Kit - Unfinished Poplar

I found this product to be exactly what I wanted and could not find anywhere else; a fireplace surround kit that can be easily modified to fit over my existing fireplace surround! The Sam's Creek Forest Products Frederick Leg and Skirt Kit meets my expectations better than I thought possible! Each individual piece of the kit is made of perfectly sized, high quality wood, and the major sections (Legs and Skirt)) of the surround are pre-assembled by highly skilled craftsmen. My kit arrived, with each piece carefully packed, and with no damage. The entire kit has been designed for ease of final cutting and on-site fitting by the customer to accommodate the installation requirements of most residential-sized, wall fireplaces. The installation instructions are clear and concise. However, I highly recommend that if the customer does not have sufficient working experience with carpentry skills, and the use of carpentry hand/power tools, he/she should seek assistance with the measuring, cutting, fitting, and final installation of this kit. Although the old rule "measure twice, cut once" is important, it alone is insufficient for accurately cutting, fitting, assembling, and installing the kit.I am a very satisfied customer!!

We bought this to re-do our fireplace. I installed it under our existing mantle while being 5 months pregnant 🤰🏻. It was extremely easy to do. Painted easily and beautifully. The two feet from the legs were missing, but after contacting the seller they gladly expedited a replacement 😍 We are super happy to have bought these since a handy man was planning to charge me an arm and a leg for something similar just because it was “custom made”. Well, using this as a base I made it custom made myself for a fraction of the cost and a little bit of my time.

This product was very good quality at a good price. This picture shows it installed, but the rest of the room is still in progress, so ignore the flooring. It was easy to install and met all of our unique needs. I liked that the width and height were adjustable and with just a little tweaking it looks like it was custom made! Best part - it was much cheaper than our other options!

Quality wood, consistent color and smooth finish. Well built. Easy to modify. Box was missing two feet. Amazon made it efficient to contact company and they sent them immediately. We ordered the mantel, which is a separate item, and it coordinates & is also excellent quality.

We’ll packaged. Arrived quickly and easy to install. I looked at a lot of other surrounds and this was the most flexible to size to my gas fireplace. I purchased a 2 inch thick solid maple plank to top it off and I’m very happy with the result.

We purchased a mantle previously and used this leg kit to complete it. Really easy to install and paint. Very happy with the final product! We didn’t use everything because we had the existing mantle but the legs were just what we needed. Would be great if they offered different styles and width of legs.Pictures show before, during and complete.

Product came damaged. One of the legs was cracked and the skirt piece was broken. We will make it work because they are sold out but I am not pleased. The box was not damaged so it was packed that way.
