Grannicks Bitter Apple 8oz w/Sprayer-2 pack

I used this brand 8 years ago for my older dog and it worked! I didn't even use up the bottle. I have a new puppy who loves to chew cloth items. Attacking my tennis shoes and the strings seemed to be the best game in town! LOL! I bought a pack of 2 but have only used about 2/3 of a bottle. First day I sprayed the bathmats and 3 rugs in the house and the bottom edge of my chair and ottoman. Now I spray my shoes, socks, and bottom edge of jeans every morning. The first day she stopped chewing the edges of the rugs and furniture. and now 3 days later and she is no longer interested in anything I'm wearing.

We have a dog who LOVES the water!!! So squirting with water for behavior problems is not an option. Found out about this awesome spray in a professional dog training class. IT’S INCREDIBLE!!! Just a spray or two will stop Josie Jo in her tracks!! Stops excessive barking, jumping on guests, helps her “drop” something she’s not supposed to have, etc. I imagine it may not work for all dogs, but thank goodness it works for ours!! This is our 4th bottle we’ve ordered. We’ve been using this product for 3 years and still LOVE it!! The only negative thing we can say about this product is that the sprayer on the bottle it comes in breaks right away. But with a very easy fix we transfer the solution to a large spray bottle as soon as we get it. Small problem solved!!

I'll give this four stars because it showed up in good order and I'm sure it works for some breeds. We purchased it in hopes it would keep our cat from chewing up power cords, and the jury is still out on that. However, I now recall trying this or a similar product 25 years ago with the same result we saw today: To a Labrador, it's "Eew, that smells bad; argh, it tastes bad, too." Within 10 minutes though, it becomes a case of "O.K., I'll put up with it to continue the standard Lab M.O. - "How do I know it's inedible unless I try?"

Good stuff - works as advertised. Dog knows what’s up when they see me pick up the spray bottle. Party’s over for whatever they were chewing on !

Good product not a great spray bottle

This stuff used to be amazing. We had a dog and a cat about 10 years ago. The dog loved chewing on wooden table legs, the cat loved chewing electrical cords. When Grannicks bitter apple was sprayed on stuff we wanted to keep, that unwanted chewing and destruction stopped immediately. This new stuff... It's a joke! We just got two puppies, they both think this is a tasty treat. What happened??? Change it back! Also, I don't remember the spray drying out so fast on application sites. If I could only find that old bitter apple spray. Disappointing.

I have a cat who is about seven months old. I love him to death but unfortunately I spoiled him soo much so that he developed some pretty bad habits. Habits like constantly jumping up on counters and tables and drinking out of our cups. The worst habit he had was biting. When he was a little little kitten this didn't hurt much but as he started to get bigger he bit alot harder. It got to the point where he would just savagely bite me for as best I could see no reason at all. When I say that nothing I tried worked I mean NOTHING worked. I was really at my wits end. I had scars all over my arms and even legs and my husband started talking about taking him to a shelter. We both love him to pieces and he's a good cat he just really needed some form of discipline that worked. A friend of mine who has a dog suggested that I try Grannicks Bitter Apple spray so I bought it. The shipping was fast and I liked how they sealed the caps with tape to make sure the bottles didn't leak. At first I wasn't sure that it worked. I used it on him after he jumped up on the counter and wouldn't get off. I sprayed him with it (never spray it in your pets face!) several times before he jumped off. But he definitely didn't like the smell and refused to lick it off of himself. He learned very quickly that anytime he did something he wasn't supposed to that I meant business when i said "NO" and picked up the bitter apple spray. I didn't even have to spray it as soon as I uncaped the bottle he runs off because he HATES the smell and doesn't want it on him. Now his behaviour is much better and the biting has really been reduced. He rarely bites now and if he does it doesn't draw blood like it used too. I'm really happy with this! I know alot of people use this on their dogs but it worked on my cat!
