Pertronix(T3001) Quick Change 6-Piece Ratchet Crimp Tool Kit

Fantastic crimper. I recently completed a wire loom replacement project. Something in the range of 100 crimps. I have used the insulated, uninsulated and the open barrel crimper. The uninsulated works fine for heat shrink crimps. The insulated yellow large terminals require a great deal of force, but makes a fantastic crimp. I have confidence that every crimp made with this till will not fail! Love the quick change crimp.dies. Looking forward to using the spark plugs wire crimper. Tired of getting pre made spark plug wire sets that never fit quite right. Gonna buy universal sets and cut and crimp to length, or buy a bulk spool and make from scratch.

It only took me approximately "4 hours or more" to figure out exactly how to properly align the special terminals I was working with, at the time, but once I figured it out, the end result was perfect. The only issue I has was the "LOUSY" support I got when I reached out to the manufacturer, as well as the lack of "real directions" that didn't accompany the dies enclosed or included with this kit. The special automotive terminals I'm referring too are the following, in case you're wondering...."Packard 56 Series Female 16-14 Gauge Terminals"

I used these for a set of spark plug wires and they produced excellent quality crimps. For standard butt connectors I prefer my old standby Craftsman stripper/crimping tool since the crimp from this tool seems rather excessive. I'm not sure that cheap butt connectors would hold up without breaking.

This tool comes with interchangeable ends to crimp about any electrical connection in the automotive industry. I use this toolink regularly and seems to be holding up good. Very good value considering its like 5 tools in 1 and comes in a nice storage case. Very happy with purchase.

Good product

A professional mechanic endorsed these crimpers, so I bought them to crimp my Packard 57 terminals. I did have to modify the dies for the male terminal with the ears.

Been wanting to buy this tool for some time and am very happy that I finally did! I used it most recently on a set of 8mm wires and it worked flawlessly.
