best of the 4-5 purifers I've owned
First, it comes really well packed- I was very impressed at the care the seller took when packaging this item. I have several purifiers (one in each room) but these folks make absolutely sure the item comes intact. I'll give it an A in this respect.Second, it's a sleek looking purifier; square at the bottom, cylindrical at the top -- about two feet high and 6-8 inches wide. It's dark gray and I'm very happy with the appearance. Grade: ANoise: on Auto & Fan 1 -- barely audible at all; I keep it in fan speed 2, and can barely hear it. Fan speed 3 is a acceptable, 4 and 5 -- which I'll rarely ever need -- are noticeably loud. But if you ever do need speeds 3, 4, and 5, you can rest assured that this purifier will clean your air well, and it does it fast.Energy-efficiency: it's energy star certified, so I am confident I can run it 24/7/365 for next to nothing.Laser sensor: I believe it, but I have another purifier with a PM 2.5 sensor and sometimes that purifier registers red whereas this one continues to indicate that air quality is very good (under 5). I know for a fact that the other purifier I have is 100% accurate. I believe this one is too (I think) but can't be sure. It's definitely a cool feature and more typical of purifiers at or above $300. Grade: B+Cleaning capacity: when I walk in to my place, the air is never stale. I've only had this 2 days but the air feels clean and crisp and I know this device is definitely cleaning the air. Grade: A.It's AHAM certified at 455 square feet and has a CADR of 290. Which more or less means that it will clean the air twice an hour in a room that's 900 square feet (assuming ceilings are 10 feet or thereabouts) at top speed (which I'll rarely ever use) My living room is about 300 square feet so my calculation is that it replaces the air 3-4 times an hour on speed 2 (barely audible). It's super efficient and has the cleaning capacity of $300+ purifiers by other well known brands. By this costs $233 (plus tax), so I'm thrilled.Cost of filter replacement: I believe it's $69, every 6-8 months. On par with other large room purifiers. I wish it was $20 less, but what can you do.I like that it's quiet (less than 25 decibels on fan speed 1 and sleep), cost-effective in that it's energy star certified, I like the laser sensor which gives me real time numbers on air quality and I like the ability with which this device cleans air. And it looks sharp.I've had 4-5 purifiers in my life, have one in every room, and this is by far my favorite. And I've only had it a couple of days but definitely think it's a keeper.I'll provide updates as necessary if I think they'll be helpful.

A beautifully made and overall fantastic air purifier but horrible customer service!
**Update** 07/3/2020Well, after 2 months I finally got my new unit delivered. I'm happy to report that it works really well and doesn't have that whining sound in my video review. I'm going to change my review to 2 stars and here's the reason why:I have been talking with Jane who is the only customer support rep they have. I'm still upset that it took 2 months to get a new device regardless of overseas shipping issues which is why it took such a long time to get a new device. Every 2 weeks when they were supposed to be in stock, they weren't and I had to wait 2 more weeks on a consistent basis. Though Jane was pleasant and kind to me and issued me a new unit a little later after I shipped my defected unit, it was sent to my old address after I updated Jane with my new address weeks ago. I had to go through hoops to get my package which was very frustrating. This will probably be my first and last time doing business with them after an unfortunately long long customer service process which needs to be done faster and more efficiently. Buyer be warned. Hopefully you don't go through my experience.**Update** 05/15/2020In my review, I showcased an issue with the whining sound when you pressed the 2nd setting. I reached out to customer support who then found my review and gave me a few suggestions to fix the whining sound. I was told to turn the unit upside down and press the power button which didn’t work. They then told me I should take out the filter packaging which I told them was already done. I didn’t get any responses back about getting a replacement unit and haven’t been contacted back for over a week now. I’m incredibly surprised by the lack of good customer service from this company and have reflected my review as such to 3 stars. If you have any issues with this companies products you’re going to have a tough time with replacements. My unit still works well... but I’m unimpressed by the customer service over their flagship product. This AGH550 Glory Days Hepa Air Purifier is the flagship purifier from Airthereal and is a well built machine for cleaning the air in your home. Feel free to check out my video unboxing review!Pros:-Packaging looks premium for a flagship air purifier. It was packed very well for protection.-AHAM Verified. This is important. Having a machine independently reviewed for quality assured buyers are paying for a great machine to have their clean.-ARB Certified for federal ozone emissions limit-Energy efficient-Air purifier is well made and looks sleek and will fit right in to any home decor you may have.-The LED screen on top of the purifier is nice and bright even in well lit rooms. The buttons function very well and has a nice colored indication (green, yellow, and red) to reveal the air quality level.-The laser sensor works great for indicating the air purity level. I tested in various rooms and gave me different readings and cleaned the air fast!-The lowest mode (1) is extremely quiet. I can barely hear it a few feet away. The higher modes show off the motor inside the purifier and it get can get loud! But definitely shows off the power this machine has.-This purifier has a sleep mode and child safe lock which are handy for parents or if you don’t want to LED lights to be on while you sleep. Very handy.Cons:During my unboxing I noticed a whining sound coming from the 2nd air level. I don’t know if that sound goes away over time or is a small defect in my machine. I will contact support to see if there is a fix as it can be bothersome if next to the machine.-The machine can be prone to fingerprint and smudges. Not a big deal, but you might have to wipe it down if you have children touching it often.-This is a small gripe, but I thought on the top of the device where is shows the colored air predication level, I would have hoped it would glimmer across the screen as the videos for the product made it seem to have. Again, very small gripe that isn’t a huge deal.-Machine on the higher settings can get really loud past the level 3 setting. It does make for some great white noise while sleeping though!Feel free to ask me any questions you may have about this air purifier. I check on here often so feel free to ask if there is something I didn’t cover that you’re curious about. I will be updating as I have this device longer!

Too loud false advertisement of 46db but still decent
I ended up returning this unit not because it's terrible but I think some of the ratings are exaggerated. It works but the air quality meter is pretty much useless 99% of the time it says the air is good and doesn't ramp up fan speed so expect to use this at a manual speed otherwise you may as well just save money and buy a smaller unit. The max noise rating of 46 db is impossible. I tried out a few comparable air purifiers and this was the loud st one yet had the "lowest" rated max db. It's not that the fan motor is noisey it's the rush of air moving out of the unit why I think it's so loud. It's because it's small cylinder shape makes it so the rome of the fan have to be greater to move the same volume of air compared to other brands so in return ends up being pretty loud on speed 4 and 5 it's actually kind of ridiculous but it has decent air movement. It makes me question the other ratings on the device and returned it and am now using a blueair 211+ which is aham rated for almost 100 more sq ft and around 50 more cadr. The blueair 211+ is a lot quieter and pleasing on the eyes in my opinion. I did like the unit but again the noise was too much but noise is subjective so give it a try!
