Good phone with useful features
I needed a corded phone to use as a backup in case of a blackout and for extra privacy whenever not wanting to use a cordless. Besides, nothing can match the audio quality of a good, corded telephone. I've always found Panasonic to be an excellent brand when it comes to telephones, and this model is no exception. It's got all the useful features that make calling convenient: speakerphone, mute, redial, hold, speed-dial numers, etc. This model even gives you the option to connect a headphone with a microphone (through a 2.5mm input) for totally hands-free calling. This is undoubtedly the best feature found on this model for me, since I often find myself multi-tasking and browsing the internet while talking. I haven't had any of the issues other people have complained about in their reviews and my phone has plenty of volume and works perfectly. In conclusion, if you need a quality but inexpensive corded phone with lots of good features, look no further.

Great appearance but bad design wrt battery use
This phone looks great, feels solid and sounds well. However the unit I purchased won't keep working for over 2 hours of actual use (even w/o using the speakerphone) on 3 AA cells. It appears to drain the cells after 2 hours of actual use. Using new cells works but the same problem appears. After reading horror stories about refurbished units being sent back as "repaired units" by Panasonic I'm reluctant to go through the hassle of shipping it to them for warranty repairs. I'd write this off as a loss due to bad design.

Looks and works nicely, but no caller I.D.
I would've given it a 5-star rating if it had a caller I.D.This phone looks and feels very well-built, with good sound quality, and many easy-to-see, easy-to-understand, and easy-to-use features. I'm still using a Panasonic corded phone that is over 20 years old which is finally beginning to show signs of old age. I'll be very happy if this one lasts half as long.I've had this phone for a few weeks now and have not experienced any problems as reported by a few other purchasers. It's a very pleasing phone to the eye and feel.

Speaker Phone Option Does Not Work
Phone is OK but the speaker phone on all 3 phones I bought does not work properly.

Not fancy but functional
I initially thought I was ordering a phone with an answering machine but I must have misread the description. It takes 4 AA batteries that don't come with the phone and you can't program it without those. The mic isn't in the best position but the speaker sounds fine and has worked well so far. The number programming was pretty easy and works well. I'll be purchasing a headset to go with this later [I specifically ordered because of this feature]. Some of the number buttons 'stick' a little bit - so I press the buttons with a pencil. I figure these will loosen over time with more use. Ringer isn't too loud or too annoying in tone.If you're looking for a phone with an answering machine, skip this one

Great basic desk phone
I'm very happy with this phone. It handles all the small business tasks at my home desk such as speakerphone, mute, headset connection, adjustable volume, and one-push speed dial. The sound quality is fine, it just works as a phone should. The speakerphone is clear and doesn't cut off the beginning of words but it isn't as loud as an expensive office phone or dedicated speaker phone. It is plenty loud enough for comfortable use in a quiet room so is functional. The mute button is wonderful for conference calls where you mostly listen.Gripes? When the call is muted there isn't an easily visible indicator. There is a little icon on the LCD but it's too hard to see to be practical. The LCD is fairly useless because it's small and not backlit but I don't need it anyway. This is a fine phone for the money, I recommend it.

Panasonic KX-TS108W--an outstanding phone
After 15 months of use I've concluded that this is the best speakerphone I ever had. It has the weight (it's not dinky) and appearance of a quality phone. The buttons are large, the sound is good, the LCD screen makes it easy to program, and every feature still works. Anything negative? Yes, the phone does not have caller-ID.

The Third Defective Phone.
This is the second item sent. The first was defective and returned and replaced with no questions asked. Now, the second also does not work properly. I'm also going to return it . One problem is the failure of the Speakerphone button -- when pressed it doesn't work most of the time. Also, when using the phone in the normal manner (via handset),after pressing the One-Touch Auto Dial Button the phone 1/2 the time,it will not connect. This phone is a loser. I purchased one two years ago and it began doing the same thing, so I sent it back to Panasonic and they would only replace it at my expense. They wanted me to pay almost twice the amount of a purchase through Amazon. When it works properly, I really like this phone. It's very convenient and allows for 20 One-Touch buttons for calls, but if it don't work right the hell with it!
