Amazon wrote and said it was running late. It actually arrived early, what a great place to purchase products. Sometimes Amazon goofs up, but it's rare.The book is excellent for reference when building a firearm.

Mr Watson is in bad need of an editor. The many mistakes were quite distracting. The author knows his stuff, but most of the material is general, not specific to the Model 70, and found in numerous other books. His technical information specific to the Model 70 assumes the reader is already familiar with its workings. If so, who needs the manual. The trigger is adjustable to a degree, but no instructions are provided. He suggests polishing the caming surfaces of the trigger. Illustrations of such procedures, perhaps with an arrow pointing to the appropriate surface would be useful. At one point he inadvertently talks about another rifle which tells me he lifted most of the information from his other manuals.
