Works as intended. Solid build and is not super flimsy.

I've tried the notch cube, the petzl one, and an assortment of smaller non-cube bags.The weaver throwline cube is easily the best option for the money when it comes to throwlines. It's neatly organized, folds down small, the line doesn't get tangled in the bag, easy to throw from, and easy to flake the line back into the cube.This is the best product for the price. It's identical and possibly superior to the more expensive throwline cubes. This is my 3rd one in 10 years. I have easily gotten my money's worth from these cubes.My petzl one I had didn't last one month and the notch one is just overpriced for lesser quality.Buy this cube and be happy with your life choices.

The Cube when open is great for holding throw line - at least once the line no longer has memory. When collapsed, it is compact and easy to carry. However, it has a tall learning-curve associated with opening and closing! To open, it helps to place flat on ground with label side down, step on a tab, and then (close to the ground) start to unwind the top. Do not lift too soon! Direction to turn is indicated. Practice.

The one I had prior to this was a Stein. Functionally, equivalent. But otherwise, very different. Weaver's fabric is much stiffer. No 'handle' loops when closed like the Stein had. Didn't think much of it but apparently I use those a bit when carrying or chucking the closed cube to the tree. It is labeled with arrows for open and close. Maybe because I'm a lefty but those are 'backwards' for me. Seems sturdy. At this price point, I expect I'll purchase this again when it's time to replace it.

folds fairly small, like a flag. nice design to keep the throwline out of hte forest debris. fast and easy to work with. build quality acceptable for amateur tree work.

It’s what you need to use a throw line. It works great and stores great.
