Would give zero stars if possible
I was so excited when I saw this product because I really thought it was a great idea. I was looking forward to having one tool that I could use to cut and score so I wouldn't have to keep switching back and forth between my Fiskars cutter and my Martha Stewart scoring board (which I love).I took this item out of its box the morning that I was going to a scrap day at my friends house and packed it up with my things. Since it is supposed to cut and score, I didn't pack my cutter or my score board. I was frustrated every time I used it that day because I couldn't get it to cut a straight line at the bottom of the paper. There was a noticeable curve the last inch or so because the groove is wider than the blade. Also, as other people stated, the blade would not cut smoothly at the bottom or top, if that is the place where the blade first came in contact with the paper. To get a cut that didn't tear the paper, you had to move the blade to the center of the paper and then move it one direction for half a cut and then move it the other direction to complete the cut once there was no resistance.I also found that you could not cut small strips because if the paper was less than 2 inches or so wide, there was no pressure from the guide bar to hold the paper still and there wasn't any way to hold it with your fingers because the bar was in the way. In addition to all these other problems, moving the bar was incredibly noisy, which was disturbing to the other crafters. After spending several hours in frustration causing me to waste time and paper, one of my fellow scrappers loaned me her backup cutter. I put the Martha Stewart Crafts Deluxe Scoring Board with Paper Trimmer away and used the borrowed cutter for the rest of the day.Truly, I would have totally thrown the Deluxe Scoring Board and Paper Trimmer away if it hadn't been so pricey to start with, I was so disgusted and disappointed. Fortunately, I discovered all of these problems within Amazon's return policy time frame and even though I have to pay shipping to get it a refund, I will get some of my money back.

Great product!
I am not a Martha Stewart fan, and I tend to steer clear of her products. I know, I know, but it's just a personal issue for me. I had looked and looked at this product, watched youtube videos, etc. I have other trimmers, but have just not been happy with them, as I was forever making mistakes on where to place the paper to cut. So after many months I finally bit the bullet and bought the thing, thinking that I wouldn't like it once it got here. Well I was wrong! The paper fits right up into the left hand corner and down the side, so there is no question that the page starts on zero on the built in ruler. Then you move the attached trimmer to wherever on the ruler you need it to be, then push down and slice the paper straight down a line to the bottom. So far I can't find any negatives to say about the product, only positives. And regardless of having the MS brand, I would recommend it to any paper crafter, or really to anyone who just wants to have something that will cut a perfectly exact straight line.

Try one first, I wish I had.
I have gone back and forth between two starts and three. This was Martha Stewart so it had to be great, right? Not so much. I LOVE the idea of it, I think it could have been tested and retested some more. The worst about it is that awful ratcheting sound as you slide the rule across it. The cutting portion is not so great either, or maybe it is me, I cannot get the hang of it. But I DO like the size of it, and the method of measurements, the little cheat sheets are helpful. Oh, yes, the angle cutter is nice too for the envelopes. Okay, I'll change it to three stars. But just barely. oh, yes, the video on the use of it was conveniently silent.

I've read reviews saying that it's either wonderful or horrible
I've read reviews saying that it's either wonderful or horrible, I got mine today. So far I've gotten straight cuts & the scoring is fine with no tearing of the ends. I like the plastic template strips & think the little windows to get them out are a good thing. The only thing odd so far is that the template strip for A2 cards has 2 cutting marks, I haven't figured out the reason for the 2nd cutting mark since I'm using printer sized paper & all that needs to be done is cutting them exactly in half & then scoring them. I would like a storage compartment underneath for extra blades like on 1 of my other MS paper trimmers & the noise the blade shuttle makes can be annoying but other than that it's fine.

Disappointed
I am a big fan of Martha Stewart products in general, so I thought for sure this would be a homerun. A cutter and a scoreboard would save a step and another tool from having to be in your work space. First you have to find the strip to figure out what size you want to cut and score your piece of cardstock and then you can start. The bar doesn't move smoothly to the line to cut and then when you cut, the blade doesn't always go directly between the grooves on the board resulting in jagged edged cardstock and uneven cuts. I tried more than once to make this work correctly. To score, you have to get the stylus and again make sure that you are lined up with the strip at the top and then score directly in the groove. Because the cut was uneven, the score line wasn't straight either. Overall, good concept, poor design and functionality. I will stick with what I know already works for me.

Great board for beginners.
I bought this just by looking at its name. I knew Martha Stewart crafts were really good. But after ordering it I read the reviews and I was really skeptical about it. I dreaded ordering it.Well it arrived in a few days and I used it making every card and box template. Even the Rosettes. It worked super fine. Here are the things I observed which previous users have complained about:1. It comes with both English and Spanish instructions. The English ones are inside the little compartment at the top.2. The sound it makes is not that bad. It's there but it's not that disturbing.3. It cuts totally fine. No scraping, no rough edges, no problem at all.4. It has so many templates with easy instructions, that card making is a breeze. All in all I am glad I bought this.

The score board is great but the paper cutter that came with it is ...
The score board is great but the paper cutter that came with it is cheap - isn't straight and doesn't cut well. Bought it for the score board - but got the "deluxe" to get the added cutter. Arrived as promised.

Bad product
It was not upto mark..size was too small as compare to the product description. Blade was used and its not cutting a single paper properly.I already opt for return but the seller "planet stationary" is not even responding.spendind 4200 on this which is not cutting properly is not worth .

A little disappointed with the board and scorer
A little disappointed with the board and scorer. Expensive for what it does. Does not work too well with paper, thin to medium card OK. The cutter is very poor unable to hold the paper down whilst you cut - next to useless.
