Men's Authentic Original 2-Eye Leather Boat Shoe, Sahara, 10.5

I won't be able to give a fully detailed review because I just picked this shoe up about two hours ago. This will be more of a first impressions review. I've wanted to get Sperrys for a while now because a huge percentage of my friends have them, I just never got around to it. This weekend I was waiting in the shoe section for someone so I tried on some Sperrys. I liked the way they looked, so I decided to go ahead and order some a few days ago. I debated for two days between the Sahara and Oatmeal color. I ended up getting the Sahara, and I could not be more pleased with the color. I was hesitant about getting it because of the Amazon picture, which is misleading. In the picture the color looks like a reddish dark brown, but in reality they are a more tan version of the Oatmeal, or a light brown, which is exactly the color I wanted. I also ordered them a half size below my usual shoe size because that was the overwhelming suggestion in what I had heard about Sperrys. People said they stretch out when you break them in, so it is recommended to get them in a smaller size than your usual size. After I got them, I tried them on and walked around for a bit and they were pretty comfortable. They will need some breaking in, but for day one they were pretty good. Also, I was pleased with how they look because I was wearing some stupid looking pants today for a Halloween prank and even on those the shoes looked pretty good so they must look nice when worn with normal pants. The best part about these shoes is that you can wear them with pretty much anything and they will look nice. I have seen my friends wearing them with jeans or khakis and they look good. They are casual enough that you can slip them on with some jeans or shorts, but not so casual that you can't wear them khakis. My friends also wear them with khakis and they look good on those too. Overall, these shoes look good and from what I can tell, they are comfortable so far. As for whether they are worth the price tag (usually around $80 I think, mine were $75), that just varies from person to person. In my case I had a bunch of Amazon money from gift cards I've gotten, so it wasn't a big deal. Also, I really like the way they look so in my opinion my purchase was worth it. For a pair of shoes $80 is fairly expensive, so I cannot give a definite yes or no answer as to whether or not they are worth it. If you are looking for comfortable shoes that can go with many different types of clothing, definitely consider these shoes.

Not much more can be said about these shoes, all the other comments pretty much explain it well enough. I love these shoes, I wore them most of the days during my summer from the beach, to around the house, to parties, shows, dinners, and even some dances. These shoes are the staple of summer clothing, and honestly fit in a very interesting niche where they can be dressed up (reasonably) or just kicked around. I've put on probably over 75 wears with my current pair so far, and they are as perfect as the day I got them. Sometimes I would look at them after an event and notice how they were starting to look bad - but after applying some oil and brushing it, they always look as good as new. This shoe is one of the best choices if you're looking to up your shoe game, and I've seen people across the spectrum wearing them - from children to elders. It's a classic, and you will love them.

I ordered my regular size and got a perfect fit (no socks). Very comfortable and perfect for Florida.

Just got mine today & they look authentic. did a lot of research so will try to put everything I looked for in this review. 1st: the fit: it's pretty common knowledge to order half a size down, I usually wear 11 & ordered these in 10.5, they fit great, the leather will stretch with time so it's probably a good idea to order half a size down. 2nd: authenticity: They look original to me, checked everything, a good surprise is that these were made in Dominican republic & not in China. I bought them through Amazon and the color is Sahara. the quality should be the same regardless of where they're manufactured but we all know that isn't always the case, so that was pretty good. 3rd: QUALITY: MOST IMPORTANT PART: obviously it's still the 1st day so can't comment on longevity but the sperry quality is fabulous and these look pretty much the real deal, the only thing is that I'm a niptick type of guy and I examined these thoroughly since they're an internet buy. the stitching on one of the soles was subpar, and while you can't actually see it while worn, you'd expect better. the left tongue was damaged and scratched by being pressed by the laces, while it's not a very big deal as well, again, with this brand and price you'd expect better. 4th:Color: got the Sahara since it's the most popular. Something noteworthy is that I thought Sahara and nutmeg are the same thing since I couldn't find the 2 colors in the same store at the same time & figured it must be 2 names for the same thing, apparently sahara is darker, I eventually saw both at Macy's, the 10.5 size at Macy's was a bit more roomy as well btw, not 100% sure, but I think so. BOTTOM LINE: You know what to expect with buying a top sider, it IS the real deal if you're afraid, I'm just not 100% sure if these are considered an outlet version with very minor defects or if that even the ones on the original website have these sometimes. if you're buying some odd color with a bargain price here, go ahead and buy it, if you're buying one of the main colors (Sahara,Tan,etc) like I did with the same price as Macy's and Sperry's website for 95$ then I'd probably buy them from an actual store next time, but if you don't want the hassle then you can go ahead, I'll try these for the day but I'll probably ened up keeping and enjoying these. I finally bit the bullet and bought some Sperrys since they were on sale in a very versatile color (Sahara). Before purchasing I read reviews and sizing information so instead of getting an 11 as usual, I got the 10.5. Out of the box, they were really snug, to the point I thought of returning them for an 11 but reading before hand told me to wait about 1-2 weeks as I break them in and they loosen up to my feet. I wore them around the house (with socks) for about 2 days before they started loosening up to my liking. I read that they can easily rough up your Achilles tendon and leave blisters/soreness until they loosen up. I decided to take them to school on the 3rd day (with socks) and by the end of the day, sure enough, the achilles tendon of my sock was ripped to shreds, leaving only a small amount of thread hooked together. I was in shock because if I didnt wear any, that couldve been my foot! But alas after that day, I continued to wear socks and noticed the holes getting smaller and smaller. Im writing them about a week after I got them and they no longer rip up my socks. I doubt I will wear them without socks as I get swamp feet but the common go to for fashion is to wear them without. Anyway, 9/10. The only thing I dont like about the shoe is the overwhelming desire to destroy it's wearer's achilles tendon. Get them, be cautious for about a week, then enjoy.

Shoes looks really durable. Bought for my son, fits him perfectly, very good leather Value for money.

You probably know what you're signing up for when you purchase these, but if not let me tell you how great they are. The Sahara color is great because they will match essentially anything you wear, ever. They look and feel casual yet can pass as business casual. The color will get darker, but even when they get scuffs and look used they still look good. They don't exactly give you a lot of arch support, but these aren't exactly running shoes. I don't wear them to work because I'm a bartender and am running around and standing all day so I wear running shoes with arch support. I do however wear my Sperry's pretty much anywhere else. They slip on and off, are super comfortable, and look fine with anything. I also wear them during every season, even if it's snowing outside.

this might be a bit late but the bottoms rotted out within the first few months of purchase. pretty sure the seller has old stock on hand. definitely wouldn't recommend.

Shoes came in 3 weeks upon order as it was shipped from US. The wait is definitely worth for the lower price compared to malls & stores.
