Great economical capsule, manage your expectations and you will be happy!
Since there are nearly 2,000 reviews of this product, I suspect that this review will never be read by anyone. This gives me complete freedom to write whatever I want! Just kidding...Bottom line first: After 1 year of heavy use, these capsules are still working great. I have never had any problems with them. They make using a Vertuoline cheap. The coffee is quite good, not great, but good enough. Fin.I've been using both the 8oz and the 2.5oz capsules for about 1 year now with my Breville VertuoPlus Nespresso machine. The build quality and durability is excellent. They still look new today, and they get heavy use: often 3 times per day each. The quality of the coffee is good. I am not an espresso connoisseur, but I feel that the "espresso" produced by Nespresso machines is not up to the standards of fine espresso. However, since I am a cappuccino/latte/cafe au lait drinker, I am very happy with the quality, and I would say that the my VertuoPlus and these capsules make enjoyable coffee drinks (I use an Aeroccino frother) at low cost in the comfort of my home. And to be fair, I don't think that anyone who is an espresso connoisseur would say that Nespresso machines make "cafe quality" espresso. Here are some simple calculations: Good coffee at a good price is about $7 per pound (Lavazza whole bean espresso at Costco). Each capsule holds about 8 grams (interesting: both the "small" and "big" capsules hold the same amount!). There are about 453.6 grams per pound. So each pound of coffee can make about 56 capsules of coffee (assuming minimal waste), and each capsule costs about $0.125, or 12 1/2 cents per capsule--pretty good! With the "old" Nespresso capsules, it's hard to find them for less than $0.25 or $0.33 per capsule, so these Capmesso capsules are a bargain. And since the VertuoLine capsules are so expensive, buying these stainless capsules is a no-brainer...unless you think about getting the sticky tops that can make the Nespresso capsules reusable, too. Those sticky tops can go for as low as $0.12 or $0.13 (let's call it 12 1/2 cents to keep things simple) per top here on Amazon. So buying one of the Capmessos for $25, you need to make 200 capsules of coffee to break even on the stainless steel Capmessos vs. using the sticky tops. For me, this takes about 3-4 months. Again: a no-brainer.Let's summarize approximate costs per capsule:Capmesso stainless steel: 12 1/2 cents per capsuleSticky top with reused Nespresso capsule: 25 cents per capsule (including coffee)"Old" Nespresso capsules: 25-33 cents per capsuleWhat about convenience? Everything that follows below is from personal experience, since I have used all of these methods. The Capmesso stainless steel capsules are the most painful to use, since you have to wash both the top and the bottom. It's not too bad, but if you are very lazy, you might hate this part--scoop out coffee grains into a trash can, then use a sponge to wash the top and bottom of the capsule. If you use the sticky tops, the authentic Nespresso capsules are easier to clean than the bottom part of the Capmesso capsules because they are wider, and you only have to clean the bottom, since the top is thrown out after every brew. Finally, the "old" Nespresso capsules don't need any cleaning at all...but wait! The "old" machines require a clean-up of the compartment that holds used capsules. Admittedly, this is pretty easy, but it still has to be done every few days. I put a paper towel inside the VertuoPlus used capsule receptacle, and it nicely absorbs any mess from used capsules, so there is minimal clean-up required on the VertuoPlus machine. That gives me an idea...maybe I'll try the same thing in my "old" Nespresso machine, too!Last overall comment: There is a wide range of reviews here on this product. When you have thousands of people using the same thing, there will of course be a variety of outcomes. Some people are not happy with anything. Some people love almost everything. There are defective products. I would simply look at the fact that thousands of people have bought this and that the majority have been happy with it. That tells you it's a pretty good product. It is not perfect--few things are. While I might apologize for the length of this review in normal circumstances, since no one is likely to ever read it, I don't have to! Cheers.

Product Return Request Due to Incompatibility Issues
Dear CAPMESSO,I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to address an issue I have encountered with the Capmesso Coffee Capsule, which I recently purchased from your store.Upon receiving the product, I was eager to use it with my personal coffee, as I believed it would complement my Nespresso Vertuo Machine effectively. However, to my disappointment, the Capmesso Coffee Capsule does not function as expected. Instead, it causes my Nespresso Vertuo Machine to jam, indicated by a red light and necessitating a time-consuming reset process.Upon further examination, I noted that the Capmesso Coffee Capsule's design prevents the machine from puncturing the capsule properly, resulting in a malfunction. I have attached a few images for your reference.Conversely, I am delighted to report that the Reusable Vero Pod Refill Kit, along with the aluminum adhesive foil lids, has been working seamlessly for me. I have been so satisfied with its performance that I intend to purchase more aluminum foils.Given the incompatibility issues I am experiencing with the Capmesso Coffee Capsule, I am kindly requesting a return or exchange.I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to exchange the Capmesso Coffee Capsule for more Aluminum Foil Lids, as the product is almost new and has not been used.I am grateful for your attention to this matter and would like to express my appreciation in advance.Your prompt assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly valued.Thank you for your time and understanding.Kind regards,

Updated version fixed all the issues
Update 4/12I had guests in town so it was a mix of the foils and the stainless capsule. After alternating it was apparent from myself and my friends that the coffee is simply just significantly weaker. It still uses the correct amount of water but no matter how fine the grind or how tight it was tamped, its still weak.Wanted to give it plenty of time and enough changes before I wrote this. First, it is super easy to use. Yes it’s hot as hell when you remove the pod, but if you wait a few minutes it will cool. I’ve run about 20 cups of coffee and never had a problem cross threading the cap on, having clogged holes or removing the cap after it’s cooled.Second, I use a campresso burr grinder and have tried grinds all the way from fine to extra fine(the one I use for the stick on foil tops). Never has one issue with the holes clogging or anything weird with the machine malfunctioning. It sounds similar to the refilled pods I’ve been using for the last year. The amount of grind you can get in does vary on the fineness. I can get pretty close to the amount I use in the refills and stick on tops. Which with the sticky tops it is just a hair short of the amount that’s in an overpriced nespresso pod. (If you try to get full amount with the stick on tops it over pressurizes the pod and the sticker always fails leaving a mess and a cleanup. But even being short using the sticky tops the coffee is still comparable to a regular nespresso pod. However, the bottom line is with the amount of coffee I’m even more short or needing a finer grind than my campresso can provide, I still can’t get the coffee to be as strong and it has a hint of Watered down to the flavor. It’s not bad but not great. I bought this with the concern that some day the sticky tops would no longer be available and to be a little more “green conscious”. Worth the buy but over priced for the results. You can get the stick tops for about 13 cents a piece and ive never had to throw out a recycled pod no matter how dented or warped it gets. They still straighten and work great.Update 2024Just came across my initial review and realized it needed to be updated. Apparently the revised version simply drilled the feed hole out and removed the tiny holes that was making the coffee weak. I’ve been using this new version and drilling out the old ones floating around Amazon for the past few years and it works great. Still hot as can be once the coffee is brewed so I have 3 at my house and 3 more at my second home when I travel. This allows for multiple cups without burning your hands

$$$ saver on coffee pods
Works with Nespresso Vertuo . Love that it saves money and the need to recycle. Real money saver ,, easy to use with medium/ fine grind coffee. Open Vertuo immediately after it brews so capsule falls in back to cool down as I find it harder to remove at insert point if left in there.

Doesn't work in my Nespresso VertuoPlus machine :-(
I love the idea of refillable pods for my Nespresso.I ordered 1 of these. Didn't work (red light on my machine), so I ordered another one in-case I was unlucky with the first one. Same problem. I emailed the supplier (note in the box that it came in). They asked for a video, which I sent. I had to chase re them looking at it. Eventually got a poor (but I did understand it) English email that they could instead send me caps to put on Nespresso pods to re-use them. For that they'd need my address. Not something I'm keen to send.So for me, great idea, that just doesn't work.I have a Nespresso VertuoPlus machine.

Capmesso Works great, refer to my video uploaded.
The media could not be loaded. This really works well on my Nespresso Vertuo Plus Machine. I ordered 8oz first, works excellent but I want less water for a stronger coffee taste on my latte, so I ordered this 2.5oz, voila got it right. Again I used 3 scoop of Lavazza Crema e Gusto. My video already had milk in the mug, half of the mug.I highly recommend this to other who also using same machine as mine.

Very weak brew!
This does not hold the same amount of coffee as a Nespresso capsule so the brew is too weak! Fine if you like weak coffee.
