This newer edition of this unit is well built but read to the end. Cametv somewhat does not differentiate this one from the first generation like adding V1 or V2 to description. They are still selling the older model at a lower price. You can tell the difference by NP-F battery plate, first edition can take one, second edition can take 2 batteries. Also the newest edition has a kind of cut off design at the end of the unit where the battery attaches. I took it to a couple weddings and it worked great. Note that up until now Cametv did not have any competition around this price range but now well respected brand Aputure came out with 60x and 60d priced about the same. given aputure brand's build quality and reputation, I would not buy this at $379. Hopefully Cametv price this accordingly since now they have an competition around same price range.
