How do you get / purchase the right charging cable?

It takes a standard cell phone charger. The plug for the charger is located on the side of the radio, between the headphone jack and the on/off switch. It also takes two AA batteries.

Does this really get over the air ufh tv channels?

In the US, all TV stations broadcast their signals using digital technology. Since this radio uses analog technology, even if it does tune to any TV channels, you can't hear anything but static. So, no, you can't get any TV channels on this or any analog radio.

Can i tune and receive a local tv station in the u.s.?

That is why I got it in the first place, but could not find a station to listen to. It might because it is not set up for American TV stations bands.
