These are room darkening, but not blackout. The material is too thin for that. You can see light through them. Also, these do not help with sound.The design is very pretty though and works for what I need it for.

These curtains are lovely and wrinkle free. They are not blackout curtains. I have other blackout curtains and these are no different in keeping the light out than the curtains they replaced. They do not help keep the sound out. They are keepers because how nice they look.

Love it! This was exactly what I wanted, a room darkening curtain that had style and wasn’t too busy. The colors go perfect in the room. Nice but not overstated. They slide easily on the rod. I have a 4 x 84 inch windows in my living room. They’re easy to deal with and attractive. I got the beige color.

They are beautiful and look amazing! To be honest, they look custom made.They do a great job blocking the light and keeping the heat in the room.Really pleased!!

I liked the fact that you could take them right out of the bag and hang them up no wrinkles great cold air blockers

Purchased the "Spice" color. Pleased it is a burgundy color mixed with cream and grey. Photo shows actual color. I have dark blinds but they never close all the way at the bottom. But, because of this I did not require complete black out curtains. Luckily this is the case because although these help darken the room, they are not complete black out. I have shown this in full window bright afternoon sunlight in 3 photos as well. The shiny silver backs are tacky looking but I won't be exposing this so no concern. Fabric is nice and a quick tumble in the dryer removed fold wrinkles. They hang rather nicely.Overall, for the price, I would recommend these curtains to improve looks of a room and darken somewhat.

Good for the money

These are heavy, dense, and will not leak light. They have a lovely texture on the patterned side and a soft satin grey on the back that makes pulling them back for some sunlight a pleasure to touch. They drape beautifully, and they keep the heat out (or in) better than even doubled-up blackout curtains that I have in different windows. Absolutely worth the price, and I wish that my phone camera could do them justice. They feel luxurious--and they live up to the term.

the description of these curtains is incorrect, they are definitely not black out curtains, if you want blackout curtains do not by these. Unfortunately I had to have mine altered before they would fit in the window, if it was not for this fact I would be returning them. Amazon should be aware that this items description is false.

These were just delivered and I put them up immediately. I'm so glad I chose these curtains, when it was time to upgrade the window coverings in my bedroom. I love the elegant pattern, the colours work perfectly with my décor -- and they feel wonderful to the touch, which I wasn't expecting. They came very quickly, too. The backing shows a silvery-white colour to the street, which is important in many buildings -- and they are dense enough that they control the light very nicely.

These are really nice curtain panels. The fabric is very soft and drapes beautifully. I was surprised at how soft and light weight each panel is since they are room darkening. However the unique backing (a silver colour) does its job very well without making the panel stiff or heavy. We hung these in a spare bedroom after giving them a light steam to remove slight wrinkles from the packaging. They look gorgeous. Very pleased with these panels.

the spice was very nice..even recommended them to a friend who also bought other colours

The only thing I don’t like is they don’t block the light as much as I wanted.
