W**!
Nice quality, arrived quickly, would order again.
This item was very well made, the glass was nice and solid red throughout. The image is accurate and exactly as expected. This is not fine crystal or anything, but the price is great for a very nice item. I believe it will be as you expect and it arrived quickly. I would order again and recommend it to anyone.

One Star
I loved this, but it broke very easy not too long after we got it.

Doesn't fit actual American sized butter
If your butter is long and narrow, this butter dish will be perfect. I buy normal American sized butter, which is too wide for the cover of this butter dish. The lid goes down halfway, and/or the butter just sticks on the inside of the lid. Rather useless waste of money. I give it two stars as its pretty, and if you are in Europe this butter dish might work for you. Made in China. Do they have butter there?

I like the color and the size but mine has some ...
If you're looking for actual depression glass, this isn't it. I like the color and the size but mine has some faded looks where the glass was bent so it looks a little orange in spots, but when the lid is on the dish you can't tell. I considered returning it for the rubbermaid plastic one with the tight lid, but I changed my mind.

Beautiful Butter Dish
I love the butter dish but it is smaller than I expected. It is very pretty and I really love it.

So cute!
Is what it purports to be. A basic for my son's kitchen. Economical, serviceable and attractive. He has a refurbished 1948 house with a black and white checked floor and red accents. This is a perfect butter dish.

It is heavy enough so it doesn't slide around easily but still easy to lift
It is heavy enough so it doesn't slide around easily but still easy to lift. You can see through it enough to tell if there is still butter but not enough to see f the butter is messy. The color is a rich red. I love it.

Too narrow for standard "West Coast" stick of butter
Has the appearance of beautiful vintage glass, and I was excited about how it would look on my countertop. However, a standard "West Coast" stick of butter won't fit inside, and the cover can't close, without first shaving some butter off the sides or top.If you didn't know about the difference between "West Coast" and "East Coast" butter, well, neither did I. But neither did I realize that this dish fits "East Coast" butter only - something that wasn't advertised about this product when I purchased it. If you live somewhere where you only find "West Coast" butter in the store (like me, in California), you'll probably be pretty disappointed with this product.
