Great book! Great information and the photos are spectacular!

As my son became more involved in hiking I was so happy to see he now has a passion. He hikes mostly in the New England area and when he has nothing planned or bored, he'll randomly go local. I bought this as part of a hiking theme gift and he was so excited to get it. He is now planning actual vacations to some of the locations in the book and has goals of places throughout. So glad I got him this.

Actually saw this on someone’s coffee table and started reading it RIGHT THERE! A few minutes later I picked up my phone and immediately ordered this from Amazon- I HAVE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE! This book is amazing as it outlines a variety of hikes upon some of the most beautiful places in the world. Book picks out short and long hikes and rates them on different levels of time, distance and difficulty. I highly recommend this book for everyone!

Nice book, very nice ideas. The perfect gift for someone who hikes a lot and has a bucket list.

Edit: was able to return the spiral bound copy and get a hard cover. Fairly easy return process. Hard cover version is great!The book I received is spiral bound, rather than hard cover. I cannot find anything in the product description or even other buyers’ reviews indicating that it would come like this. It was described as “a beautiful coffee table book.” I am going to try to contact the seller to have it replaced. The content of the book looks awesome , but the binding is a huge buzzkill.

I bought this book for my son's birthday. I had seen the leather bound edition and was very taken with that but decided this was a little more consumer friendly? I'm pretty sure I paid less than $25 for this edition and it was worth every penny. Gorgeous pictures - it's National Geographic! think I might put a copy on my Christmas wish list!

Purchased this as a gift for my grandson. He loves the outdoors and hiking. The photos are wonderful. Think it is a perfect dream gift for him.

We love the national geographic books, for gifts or for ourselves! We've gotten several and the photos and information are both wonderfully put together
