I previously had this phone mount, the hard plastic kind with multiple thumb screws to tighten and loosen. It was a bit of a pain but worked ok on my old hybrid. Now that I've upgraded to a road bike I needed to mount my phone on the stem (or spend $$$ for an out-front mount), and the old one was horrible - rattled like crazy with every cranny in the road and had me worried about breaking my phone, or at least certainly scratching my new bike. I've had this holder for ~2 weeks / 250 miles of riding, and so far it's great. No noise, super-easy to mount on the bike and take the phone in and out (great for photo ops while riding); feels super secure. 4 stars since I do worry about the rubber fatiguing, and I wish I could adjust the position/angle of the phone a bit more - you're pretty much stuck with the angle of your stem.
