Sometimes this is all one needs...
You're looking at an inexpensive speed control, so keep your expectations in check and you'll be happy. This is a bare-bones ESC. It came packed in an anti-static bag with no documentation. No battery or motor connectors were installed or included. I assumed it has no programming capabilities. It's only good for 2 or 3 cell Lipos, and it claims to auto-detect which you are using. Before powering it up I checked the workmanship... I'd give it a "fair" rating. Visually it looks like a copy of the (much more expensive) E-Flite micro 10A ESC. Its weight was not listed. I measured ~8 grams with all connectors installed. It powered up with no issue and so far seems to work just fine. I'm using mine to run a 50 watt, 15 gram, 1700kv brushless outrunner on two cells. I'm operating it at nowhere near its rated 10A continuous / 12A short term rating. I had to lengthen the motor leads by 3 inches and it didn't complain. It seems happy, I'm happy. YMMV.

Item Defective
Received the item but did not have any time to install on RC Aircraft. Recently was able to get item installed and ESC is intermittent. The item was tested against 2 different Transmitters, 2 different motors, 2 different RC receivers and multiple batteries. ESC will not maintain stable throttle control. Constantly resets and goes immediately to fail safes if throttle is enabled. Faulty item.

Heat sensitive?
As others have mentioned, this ESC doesn't necessarily handle 10 amps. Mine kept shutting down at an indoor fun fly. It was driving a Emax 1106 4500kv motor, with a small 2.5" triblade prop. This combination on the bench pulls no more than 8 amps, full throttle. So, I guess treat this as a 6 amp esc and maybe you'll be OK.

Did not work with my motor
Worked without load but as soon as small load applied, it had trouble spinning up. Sometimes it would make it up to speed but most times it would jiggle back and forth and be unable to spin up the motor

Good!!!
Great for my micro 4300kv motor! Can even handle 3s, this thing also has very low amp draw.

good for slower, sub 10 amp outrunners, but not good Lipoly voltage cut-off.
So, years back when brushless motors were gaining popularity in the RC model aircraft hobby, TowerPro and Balsa Products both sold a combined motor and brushless combo that could be purchased for about 25 dollars for either motor or controller. It was a breakthrough in the hobby for parkfyers with smaller models like the SlowStick and other ARF foamies, to boost the performance of their old brushed motored power systems. This $11 ESC is in the same league as the BP 8/12/18 series of motors and their unbranded ESC's. What this BL ESC does is run your basic, entry level sub 1000 kV 2210 size BL motor quietly and without much heating in either the controller or the motor. It will also run some smaller, faster 2000KV outrunner motors as long as they stay below 10 amps average. What it wont run is can style in-runners and any slightly weak magneted CD-ROM motor. I have an early DIY CD-ROM that's about 3300KV that spins a 6X3 GWS prop at over 14K rpm at 5.5 amps on a ancient Jeti 03-06 controller. But this controller like other here have found out, doesn't like these high speed motors and will start to stutter and get warm, I figure if it forced to run these for an extended time it will overheat. I you own any ELE Motor 2208 or TowerPro 12 or 18 turn Wye motors from 2004~2008 era? This is your happy controller. Also any of the low kV 2212 sized bargain motors sold here on Amazon if run on a 2S pack and a 9"X7"~10"X8" slow flight prop would be happy. Seems that the voltage cut off is 6.5 volts, which is going to shorten the life of your lipoly packs, It would be good to monitor the flight time and bring your aircraft down early to save the battery's life.
