Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint in Assorted Colors (2 oz), 21377, Snowflake

My favorite subjects to paint are palm trees. This is after the storm Olivia passed through Hawaii. I used the sunny skies yellow and the palm tree great. Perfect colors.

This paint is shown on the blue “A” in my project, and with only one coat, compared to two coats each on the orange and red letters (DecoArt crafters paint) and the purple letter (Darice brand). The coverage the Apple Barrel provided was far superior, as well as how much more smoothly and easily it went on. The green letter (ArtDeco Americana paint) is also only one coat, and a better paint than the other three, but the finish on the blue letter with this Apple Barrel paint is the prettiest. It’s absolutely worth the extra dollar - I’ll probably end up buying the other colors in this brand now to finish the project.

I needed some fresh acrylic paint in a variety of colors, for numerous projects ... touch-up work, decorations, artwork with a young child, and so on.The Apple Barrel paints have been perfect for my needs and I recommend them fully.Pros:1. The 2 ounce containers are easy-to-use squeeze bottles that dispense small amounts of paint at a time (preferable to the tubes of acrylic paint that I've had previously).2. The caps snap tight when done (make sure to wipe off excess paint before closing).3. The colors are vivid.4. There's good consistency -- not too thick or thin for my needs and no color variations that I've noticed.5. Mixes well with others.6. Dries fast.7. After drying the final color is very close to the color when applied.8. Apple Barrel has a very wide range of available colors.Tips:1. For cleaning the caps when finished, I've found that baby wipes are ideal.2. Some of the individual tubes are VERY inexpensively priced, sometimes as much as 10 times cheaper than other particular colors.3. Apple Barrel has a few 16-tube combo sets that are nicely priced. I opted for the Multi-Surface Paint Set, but there are also a nice Gloss set and Matte set.4. On short notice I needed an inexpensive brush set and picked the Vacasso Art Paint Brushes Set (3 brushes). Very nicely made, crisp edges, perfect for fine work.

Excellent coverage. The only reason why I gave it 4/5 stars is because the color is not what I expected. It's more a brighter, and darker purple. Not pastel.

Color is honestly represented by packaging. Fast cure time with time to touch up and correct. Dries fast you can purchase at another retailer for about 50 cents is the only downfall but I suppose with the free shipping it is worth it.

Loved the color. This was a great deal for these. These popular colors are usually more expensive so it was nice to find it on sale. It seemed like any other acrylic paint.

It is a beautiful French type blue that I was looking for. It covers well and also washable with water. I can't say yet but hopefully this product will be perfect for face painting at an event the community is holding later this summer.

These little bottles of paint are insanely overpriced on Amazon. Your local Walmart likely has a far better selection of colors, and most of them are only 50¢ per bottle. At most, $3 per bottle, if you're looking for some of the fancier colors or finishes. If you find any of these for under a dollar here, grab it. The price can and will inflate unreasonably in the blink of an eye. It's not as thick as the pro paints, but it's not as expensive either.
