The Mate Factor Yerba Mate Energizing Herb Tea, Dark Roast, 20 Tea Bags (Pack of 3)

I used this to wean myself off coffee. While it does not taste like coffee, (more like green tea) and is not billed as a coffee substitute, I add cream and sweetener (stevia) and it is a warm, creamy, delicious drink! It does contain caffeine/caffeine-like stimulants, so expect a caffeine-like lift.

Incredibly delicious. No smokiness, it just tastes fresh.

I love this dark roast yerba mate. While definitely not a coffee substitute, as a coffee lover (who can't drink coffee), I find the flavor robust, satisfying and not the least bit bitter. I enjoy this year round, straight, no milk or sugar. (If you enjoy kukicha tea or roasted dandelion tea, you'll probably like this). I purchased three boxes. Inside each is a sealed pouch to keep the tea fresh.

Product arrived with what smelled like spilled detergent.Unfortunately and disappointedly this can’t be returned or a refund can’t be requested.Really wanted to enjoy this but the smell on the packaging outside and inside is overwhelming.

My husband and I turned to Yerba Mate tea after I was told I couldn't drink coffee, I liked it a lot; then I found this and fell in LOVE! We both love the bolder robust flavor but it's not bitter in the least. I sweeten mine with a touch of honey. Great stuff!!

The flavor of this roast tastes more like coffee than Mate. But of course it is a dark roast. The flavor is not bad if you like coffee... I prefer nutty flavor mate to bean flavor mate... so this one was not my favorite...
