Arrow: The Eighth and Final Season (Blu-ray)

I like watching this series. It put the superhero in a more realistic serious way.

It's the final season of one of my favorite shows. I'm sad to see it go but I'm glad it's going out strong. I think the best thing about this season is that it's the shortest of all only 10 episodes but it's great cause they focus on the main story and don't try to stretch it out through 20+ episodes and just have the rest be filler episodes. It's definitely up there with the better season's 1,2,3, and 5 and honestly it feels more like an epiloge with the true series finale being season 7 but its still great. Now obviously like with previous seasons it does have a backdoor pilot episode for a show that me personally wouldn't like to see get made so for a season that really focuses on the main story and the crisis crossover they take you away from that for an hour and take you some place else. Also since it was a shorter season I wished the budget had stayed the same so the fights, cgi, and the crossover looked better. The crossover itself was great but like I said the budget should've been bigger and I feel like Arrow should've had two episodes instead I know they wanted to give legends an episode so they can be in a crossover but they should've had the last two crossover episodes be arrow episodes and still use the legends characters. It was his final season, it was his story coming to an end and if they ended the series with the crisis, The season overall wouldn't need its final two episodes. The blu-ray itself is great all 10 episodes are on 2 discs and they throw in an extra blu-ray disc with the complete crossover and special features of the crossover and as far as I know it's only gonna be available on the blu-ray sets. I highly recommend this season.

One of my favorite series that I have watched, official own all 8 seasons on dvd or blu-ray. I have watched many many tv series and even more movies so far in my 26yrs. This series is in my top 10 for tv shows. However if we are putting in childhood shows then the ranking changes, but going by the last decade it’s top 10. Now if your a comic book person you will most likely find a lot of things you don’t like, luckily for me I am a generalist so that means I know a little about a lot but not expert in anything to hold a conversation for long about whatever it is. Only things I know a lot about are movies but it’s more of if it’s a trivia thing where you show me a quick clip can be like oh ya that’s the name of the movie and give you a quick cap about what I remember about the movie, like my dad has had a few movies on tv that I have not seen since they came out like The Other woman with Kate Upton, Cameron Diaz, then think Leslie Mann.

The show was getting a little long in the tooth, so it was smart to end it. Ollie and his fate tied into the Crisis event. And that's really the reason I bought this, having seen all the episodes on Netflix. The bonus disc has all 5 parts of the crossover, which is well worth it. (Watch the price, I got it at the low price of $9.99 new). I hope they spin off Ollie's daughter on to her own show.

Good series last episode rapped everything up.

The final season of Arrow is an epic interesting one. While wrapping up Oliver’s story it also sets up the blockbuster crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths. It succeeds in the balancing act. The final episode is especially noteworthy in terms of using the events of Crisis to give a coda to Oliver’s journey. Speaking of which, a major plus of the Blu-ray for the final season is having all 5 parts of the Crisis crossover on one disc instead of forcing fans to buy 5 different sets. Hopefully this will start a trend.

As a fan of the Green Arrow comic, I was excited when I heard the character was getting his own show. I watched every single episode with excitement. I enjoyed the fact that he actually killed the powerful criminals who had "failed this city", rather than going the typical vigilante route of leaving them tied up for the police to find. I knew the violence would be scaled back eventually, as you can't be a celebrated hero while killing people all over town. I won't claim the show was perfect but, for the most part, I loved it. The crossovers with the rest of CW's shows that became known as the Arrowverse were phenomenal. I liked the way they finished out the final season, particularly the episode that was essentially a pilot for a possible show keeping Arrow going through the character of Oliver's kids. I really hope they decide to make that show a reality. For eight seasons, Arrow managed to keep me riveted to the screen, and remained the best show in CW's Arrowverse although Legends of Tomorrow gave it a run for its money. Season eight also had arguably the best crossover from any season, so that's a bonus.

What an incredible series ... I love it! The dvds arrived when promised and in good condition no issues - in fact I have rewatched them several times over and still no issues all these years.
