Such a fun game!
I'd recommend watching a video of how to Play and playing more than once before deciding if you like the game. Its fun the first time as well, just challenging, so don't give up. After a couple of rounds you learn strategies to get extra points and win. This is a great game for competitive families! Easy to set up and explain.

Intriguing little filler game!
I'm a huge fan and supporter of Gamewright products. Their games have an impeccable standard of quality and almost all of them are extremely easy to learn while still providing a nice level of strategy and cleverness.First, it was great to see that a game which fits into the "roll and write" variety does not require a pad that will eventually run out and need replacing. The "pad" consists of a set of mini dry erase boards which can simply be wiped clean and reused. Marking pens are provided and they each have a little eraser foam on the other end. I recommend only using that for errors during game play. For full erases, I like to use either a tissue or napkin. A single tissue will provide multiple erasures without getting filthy dirty.Admittedly, I had a little trouble understanding the directions on the first pass through. But, after trying the game solo a few times, I quickly figured the mechanics of it out. Although I have yet to play with a group of people, it is a neat little challenge to play and I became hooked on trying to beat my score. Gamewright provides a ratings chart so you can see where you stand when you are playing on your own.My guess is that it will be even more challenging when there are other people playing. The reason for this lies in one of the rules that awards a top score to the first player to complete a specific route. So, there is a "race" element that will come into play. It's not an overly long game, which makes it perfect for a filler in between other games. Expect the first play through to be slightly lengthier due to the learning curve. Each game after that should move briskly. There's really no unique artwork in this game, but the typical Gamewright quality is present and it's both clever and fun. Another inexpensive filler by a great company.

A sweet puzzle for your brain.
There are lines everywhere and a lot of spaces to mark, your eyes will be puzzled before your brain does. But like every new route you learn, its starts like a labyrinth and ended up like highway... (I got a little too far there 🤷♂️).In the game you fill spaces simultaneously in your board with the numbers given by the reveled cards every turn. Repeat until the board is filled and the game ends. Simple. Easy...no. the rules makes the game challenging and with the desire to immediately play again.Playing this game is like trying to solve a puzzle, one that gets tighter and tighter every turn. And if you love this kind of stress, with ups and downs, hopping to get the card you need for the space you have being saving for the last three rounds, oh boy this game is for you.

Quick, fun game
We play this as a couple and with our 8yo son. He is able to understand the mechanics and play along, but can't fully grasp the strategy yet, so he can't really compete against the adults on this game since there's less luck than many other games. He also erases some of the dry erase marks with his hand when making new marks. So for him, we scanned in the card and print him off a paper copy.Very fun, quick little game that hubby and I pull out when we have 15 minutes or so.

Very fun flip and write game
This looks like it's going to be a great little game. I have only played twice, solo, but easy to learn, fast to play with a nice amount of puzzle. The game comes with 6 excellent double-sided dry erase boards and markers. One side of the board is the Metroc City map, the other Tube Town. The latter looks more challenging. Like many roll/flip and write games, it's really group solitaire so there isn't an upper limit to the number of people who can play together. I'm glad Gamewright picked this up.

An quick playing challenge that you’ll play again and again
I have not played this game yet against other players, but it is a fantastic roll/flip and write solo game. In fact, I don’t currently have a solo game I like more. It has a quick set up and put away, quick but thinky turns, and an easy scoring system. The game would includes 6 erasable boards with a different map on each side. The Metro City map is pretty easy to get a decent score on. But the Tube Town map is significantly harder. There is a London map you can print for free on boardgamegeek.com that offers further variety. As to the quality of this game, you can’t do better with 15 dollars. The boards, box, cards, and insert are all very good quality which is typical for Gamewright games. Highly recommended.

Good family game
Not super exciting and a little confusing to start, but good family game with teenagers.

A great North America release of Metro X
An entry level flip and write game. Easy to understand as the theme makes sense. Slightly different maps from the original release.4 stars only because I wish they included more maps to increase difficulty and replay ability

Great little game
Bought on a whim because Gamewright games are normally so good. This is no exception. It’s brilliant and is simple to play once you understand it. Played solo and with the kids. Can’t recommend highly enough. Very, very good game.

Really fun puzzle-type game - good for solo play
I bought this game after seeing it played on The Dice Tower board game channel. I've always enjoyed Gamewright games and this one is no exception. Search for the Dice Tower on Youtube and you can see a review, as well as Tom playing the game on his 24 hour marathon video series. In Metro X you have to complete tube lines on an underground map. You do this by turning over cards and crossing off certain circles of a line on the map. The premise is simple, but there are restrictive rules that make this game a real puzzle. The game comes with pens that you can wipe off, so you don't have to use pre-printed pads of paper. One of the pens is dried up in my box, but you get 6 of them so it's no big deal. I find it much better to use china graph pencils anyway. The map boards are chunky, if a little drab looking, but they do the job well. Each line is coloured a different colour, but symbols are also used for those who suffer from colour blindness. The deck of cards is well made and as you shuffle them whilst playing, every game offers a new challenge. The game can be played with up to 6 players, but to be honest, it plays just as well solo. In fact I've played it much more solo.I've only given it 4 stars due to the fact there are only 2 maps included. However there are some Japanese versions of this game which have different maps that you can use. I suppose you could always have fun making your own if you wanted to.Overall, another solid game from Gamewright, who always produce.

Quick, short game for one or more players
I love roll&write games, and this one is particulary very good. I use it to play solo, but also with more people, and both modes work well.
