Geo F Trumper GFT Shaving Cream Bowl | 200ml

Excellent cream. Lather is not spectacular but provides a smooth shave. Strong, yet pleasant, persistent lemon smell. On par with the best TOBS cream I have used so far (Avocado, St James, Mr. Taylor) and definitely a notch or two above Cavendish and Proraso creams and soaps. Recommended product if you are in need of a refreshing, soothing cream for Summertime.

Best shave cream or soap I have experienced in my 10 years in wet DE shaving. Foams up fantastic using very little soap. It has mild pleaent smell. The negative is that it has now completely doubled in price that's a lot wouldn't buy at $25 needs to come back to earth.

As is the case with every Geo. F. Trumper product I've tried this shaving cream doesn't disappoint. Open the lid and this glistening shaving cream will greet you with a refreshing citrus aroma. It's not my favorite Trumper scent, not as wonderful as the rose or as stimulating as the sandalwood but it is a nice happy, refreshing scent. The performance as with the other Trumper varieties is unrivaled. You will enjoy pure shaving pleasure, a smooth silky shave as your razor glides over your face. Great glide, cushioning and skin protection for a super close shave (make sure you use a real razor not some expensive and useless 5 blade MachDreck toy). I recommend a single edge injector razor). Rinse with cold water and your skin feels glassy smooth and pleasant. Use a bit of Trumper's Skin Food for the full luxury shave experience (I also dab a bit of Trumper's Skin Tonic before the Skin Food for even more comfort). My only criticism would be the labeling used on the GFT variety. I enjoy the more retro looking design on the Rose and Sandalwood. However this certainly doesn't detract from the fine shave.

OK, so I went down the wet shaving rabbit hole and purchased a bunch of different shaving creams. I wanted to compare trumpers to tobs to see if there was much of a difference. Performance wise, not much if any. Both lather great and provide skin protection while shaving, the main difference is scent and which one you prefer. The trumper lime reminds me of dessert, kinda key lime pie-ish which I love but the scent is not overpowering at all. I also have some truefitt and hill lime on the way so I cant wait to compare this with it...Overall, tobs is a couple of dollars cheaper for the most part, in a blind test I seriously doubt you could tell the difference other than by scent alone...both give a decent post shave feeling to the skin.

I've been a hard shaving soap user for 35 years. I tried the cream tube soap recently, and found it is a definite step up in the quality of the shave, but also a step up in cost. A typical cake of hard shaving soap lasts me nearly 3 months of daily use. Expect roughly 3-weeks of use with one tube of shaving cream used sparingly (small dab of cream in an empty shave bowl, then whip up with wet shaving brush). The cream is "greaser" than hard shave soap, so the razor glides better. The fact that the product is contained in a closed airless metal tube means that the fragrance of the last shave is the same as the first shave. This contrasts with the hard shave soap cake, that loses its fragrance in about a week or two. I've tried the Limes and Roses fragrance. I could care less about fragrance, but I like the Limes better than Roses as it is fresher and less obtrusive. If you are a fragrance fan, your choice might be different.

I have used them all including domestic made shaving soaps and creams. There is no comparison. I shave every day with a straight razor which is a throw back to days of old. This is the only cream I would use because it is thick and slick when coupled with a pre shave lubricant and when whipped up with a proper brush. It is much better than anything in an aerosol can by far. One tub lasts me over 6 months shaving daily. It’s a good value.

I use it with a scuttle and a brush. It is thin enough to lather easily in the scuttle and spreads well. I also love the essence of Trumper's various creams. I have used other English, Italian, and German creams, but find Trumper's lasts the longest. Its consistency makes it easy to pick up just the right amount on the brush without using too much. I no longer buy the others and use Trumper's exclusively. I find American and Italian creams lack the body and adherence of Trumper's. I would also recommend their "Skin Food" as a pre shave. In my opinion, it does make the razor slide much more easily for a closer shave. I have only used the Coral Skin Food, but would recommend it. Trumper's is the best English Cream, in my opinion.

It’s a quality cream that specializes in being slick, but for me it pales in comparison to creams like Castle Forbes, Truefitt & Hill and even TOBS, which is less expensive

Scrivo una recensione che vale per tutte le creme Trumper che ho provato (Spanish Leather, Eucris, GFT). In poche parole: fantastica! Monta rapidamente e facilmente, producendo una nuvola di schiuma sofficissima, che garantisce (rasoio tatara muramasa regolazione 3 con gillette 7 o'clock sharp edge) una rasatura davvero dolcissima. Se si confronta con le altre inglesi, non c'è il minimo paragone, a mio parere, con Truefitt Hill e TOBS, più "dure" da montare e dalle fragranze spesso dozzinali (un solo esempio ... Royal Forest di TOBS? .... Per favore!!!!!). Uniche vere concorrenti, secondo me, Castle Forbes (considerevolmente più dura da montare però) o l'italiana e classicissima Cella, a una frazione del prezzo, cosa che non guasta, ma "monotematica" nella fragranza. Straconsigliata! P.S. - Da pochi giorni provata anche la crema alla rosa, che conferma la mia considerazione per questa marca: rasatura come descritta prima, fragranza elegantissima e non eccessiva. perfetta anche per uomini. non vedo (a mia conoscenza attuale) chi possa superare Geo. F. Trumper.
