Heavy duty gouge great for dense, hard woods. I have been carving for about a year. Hard maple, up to Osage orange. This heavy duty gouge let’s me get those big chucks out right away. Only complaint is the bevel could be la little steeper. Came razor sharp, polished and ready to use right out of the box. Will definitely buy more.

This is the finest gouge I own. It takes a razor sharp edge and I have carved hard maple and black walnut with ease. The edge holds up for hours after a few passes over a whet stone. It has already been my tool of choice for two bowls and two maple chair seats.

Venía bien afilado y corta muy bien. Cómo he leído en otras reseñas, el filo viene protegido solo con un pequeño plástico termocontraible, en mi caso llegó bien, pero puede llegar a ser poca protección.Lo he usado en madera de olivo, que es muy dura, y parece que perdió el afilado con el que venía algo pronto, quizá mejor para maderas más blandas. Pero en general resistente, cómodo y buen corte, se nota la calidad, he tenido otros más baratos que se me han acabado partiendo, pero esta marca genial.
