MerrellWomen's Encore Nova Slip On Shoe

Had my first pair of this brand shoe for YEARS, and had to get a replacement. I prefer a mule style, open back shoe for the long hours on my feet at work, and these hit the mark. Quality is very good, leather is supple (no “breaking in” necessary), toe box is medium width, and footbed is comfortably cushioned. They Do imo run about a half size too small. I typically wear a 9 but sized up to a 9.5 and that was perfect! Can wear both thin and thick socks with No problem. Wish this style came in colors other than black and brown so that I wouldn’t feel like restricting them to “work” but I recommend them for overall comfort, quality and durability!

I’m an ICU physician and I’ve spent a lot of time finding the perfect shoe for work. I wanted some thing that was super comfortable, something that easily slipped on and off for when I am on call at night. I wanted some thing that looked attractive and classic, so this dark leather clog was absolutely perfect. I can tell that these things are going to last years and years, but if they ever wear out for any reason, I’m definitely buying another pair. They don’t pinch the top of my foot, they have good support, and they look like a normal classy shoe under my scrubs.

I have worn this shoe repeatedly with no issues. Very comfortable and true to size. Looks good after much wear. I recommend.

I've bought a pair of these every year for the past 5-6 years and wear them every day. I can say without hesitation that they are (were?) my favorite shoes. I planned on buying them every year for the rest of my life, to be honest. Comfortable to wear all day, sturdy (I've hiked in them), easy to clean, holds up for long enough to be a great value. You can extend the life by buying new Merrell inserts if you need (I usually get a new pair of inserts for my prior year pair and use those as outdoor errand shoes to keep the others nice).HOWEVER, my December 2020 order came and one of the two had a weird creaking/popping/squeaking sound whenever you walk. Almost like there were air bubbles in the heel. I didn't think a thing of it - just figured it was the inevitable mis-manufactored shoe, no big deal. I promptly returned it for a replacement pair. The replacement pair had the exact same issue, just on the opposite foot! Well, that had me concerned. I had a mild hassle in getting a third replacement, but Amazon made it happen. The third pair seemed fine and I was happy that the issue seemed resolved. Fast forward about two weeks, low and behold, one of the shoes is doing the creaking/popping/squeaking! So annoying, as my job requires me to lead clients through an echoey concrete corridor and it's just CREAK SQUEAK CREAK. This has never happened before in my multiple well-used pairs in the past. I'll not be returning for a third time, that's just ridiculous. I'm just going to continue with this pair until the time comes to replace... and I think replacement might come from a different brand. What a bummer.Keeping four stars, though, just in case I'm terribly unlucky and got three unusual bum pairs in one go, as otherwise they have been stellar.

I have worn these for years. I have high arches, and need a ton of arch support. This is a very comfy and supportive slip on clog. If Merrell is your 'last' (i.e. fits you) these are great. I own several pairs.

Love my Merrells

Over 20 years I have had 3 pairs of this same shoe. It is my go to rain or shine in fall, winter & spring. First pair lasted until my feet grew & I had swelling issues. Had to get larger size. 2nd pair I needed to upsize to accommodate adaptive shoe equipment. The two pairs that I had earlier looked almost new when I gave them away. Very durable & adaptable. Still my go to shoe.

This is my second pair of Merrell Encore Nova 2. When I find a comfortable shoe that goes well with my clothes I do buy another since it is so hard for me to find cute comfortable shoes. Here's what I learned about these shoes--when you first try them on, they feel almost tight and hard to get on. But once you wear them the leather stretches to your foot and they are so comfortable. They remain adjusted to your size unless you don't wear them for about a month, or so, and then the leather has changed and you have to go through wearing them for a bit again so they custom stretch. I wear either an 8.5 or a 9 in shoes and I buy these in the 8.5. I do have flat feet so I can't say anything about arch support--just that these work for me. They are easy to slip on and off and soooooo comfortable to walk in. I wore my old Merrell Ice clog (now discontinued) but exactly like these except for "fur" lining, all winter in Wisconsin. If you just go from car to sidewalks you can do that most days. After living in the clog style all winter, it was great to have these for spring and fall. Love them.

Excelente calidad

I bought this style of shoe many many years ago, and was thrilled to be able to find the same style recently. They lasted for years, and were extremely comfortable as a walking shoe. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a bit of a stylish shoe, for walking.

Have been wearing this Merrell Encore for years now. I have problems finding shoes that fit my high instep and high arch but these Merrelle's fit me like a glove! Most shoes I cannot even get my foot into them. Can wear them for endless hours. Love my Encore's ❤️❤️
