Great for Backyard or Christmas Lights
These outdoor wireless outlets are really convenient. You plug them into a regular outlet, and they give you three spots to plug in cords, all controlled with a remote.I bought the 3-pack but have mainly used one continuously for about a year. That one powers my backyard lights every day without any issues. Another I’ve only used for Christmas, and the third hasn’t even been needed yet. The remote works great—even from 3/4 of the way across the house—and makes it super easy to switch things on and off.Overall, these are reliable, easy to use, and perfect for things like Christmas lights or backyard lighting.

Extremely Handy with Remote Control
Updates:I had Amazon replace the unit and the new one works as it should. I've have had this new unit for weeks and had absolutely zero issues. The battery idraining n the remote is no longer an issue.I'd also like to say that even though it took the companys customer service some time to get back to me (Amazon had already replaced the product) once the customer service was on it they were very thorough, reaching out numerous times to make sure i was happy and their product worked as it should.I could knock off a star I guess fir the inconvenience of getting a faulty remote but in the end these things happen and what is important is tgat the company and Amazon stood tall in making this right.Original review:I'm in the process of having this item replaced hoping that my experience with the product is due to a faulty product. When I received the 3 dual prong outlets and remotes I noticed that I almost threw away the shipping envelope in which it arrived, and accidentally the battery for the remote which was just laying in the bottom of the envelope as opposed to being in the box containing the outlets and remote. This first battery worked one time the same day I received the order, literally. I turned a water fountain on, then off, and by the next day the battery in the remote was dead. At this point I thought perhaps just a cheap "starter" battery as it wasn't a name brand so i went out and bought two brand new energizers. Put one in, and walla! the remote control worked again. So I turned my fountain on in the morning, and again off at night. The next morning I experienced the same issue with the remote being dead. So that is why I am rating the product one star at this point, it works great, but only for a day and batteries being priced at a little over a dollar each seems a bit extravagant in terms of cost and trouble. The really strange thing is that when the remote is being operated there is a red led that lights up when you press the on or off switch, so i don't understand what is drawing the current out of the remote if that light isn't lit (which it isn't...) So I have agreed to have Amazon send me another unit, and I will try this one out and see if my unit is just somehow a defected unit, and I will reevaluate either way.If it works for you, then it is a great value I think in terms of price. But for me a battery per day is just a pain.

I Am Pretty Sure I Have Purchased about 10 of these over the Years - Life Savers
I live alone on a 50 acre ranch - out in the middle of nowhere - so far away from anything else, even I don't know where I am.Importantly, having out-door lights that can be turned off with remote control is a life-saver. This is equally important to all you city-dwellers.On my huge spread, after dark, I am constantly required to look out my windows for invading dogs, transient intruders or coyotes. Having to rely on movement detector lighting is annoying and inaccurate.I frequently work outside at night to avoid day-time heat and sun exposure that requires lighting in all types of areas. I have no less than 6 separate outside lighting systems with individual remotes. The units are very reliable with mini-12V batteries lasting about 1 year and weather can eventually kill the unit if it is exposed to rain, sunlight and wind/dust. My remote units that are located inside, are going on 14 years of non-stop problem-free operation, just change the remote batteries every year or so.But overall - there is no unit I have tried that work better than the HBN Outdoor Indoor Wireless Remote Control. Over the years rather than making the units cheaper, HBN has improved the quality - adding from 1 single plug-in, to two input plugs. Stronger plastic, better cords.Best part about these units is the great distance from the source the remote works - that's why it is 12V powered. A good example is when I am driving on my dirt road toward my front gate - about 30 yards before getting to the gate. if I hold-up and aim the remote at my garage 75 yards away - my garage lights can be turned on (assuming the batteries are in good shape). Comparatively, 12V power allows outside and inside remotes to be activated THROUGH WALLS - brick or otherwise.I keep a couple of remotes by my bed, if I get awaken in the middle of the night by sounds outside, I just hit a couple of the light system remotes - and anyone or anything out there will be scarred off - because they know a human activated the lights and not a motion-detector. They know someone is inside and awake.I also use the HBN sunset /sunrise "automatic" light initiator on my front porch - turns my large front porch lights on every evening and turns them off every morning. Never have to think about it. My first one lasted 11 years, recently just had to buy a replacement - no batteries required. My front porch lights are always on when I get home at night - can see them a mile away - if my lights are not on - I know something is wrong. So, I make sure I have my trusty 1901 Colt SAA in hand before going through my gate.

Stopped working after 2 months
Remote stopped working after two months. The plug works but the remote won’t control it anymore. Edit: customer service was great and sent me a new one that works.

Its simple and effective, keeping us from having to unplug the extension cord on ground level as the plug that starts the light string is 8 ft in the air
