Dishwasher 12008381 Heat Pump

For over a year now we have been battling our 5-year old Bosch series 300 dishwasher. It started off in grand fashion; it would wash anything you could load in it and dishes always came out clean. At some point we started to notice a still dirty item here and there and as time went by the number of dirty items increased. Glasses would be streaked, detergent tablets would not be completely dissolved so we tried lighter loads, powdered soap, adjusting water temperature and pressure, all to no avail. I was ready to pull the trigger on a new machine but decided to take one more deep dive on the internet looking for something new. I found a site where someone had similar problems and the solution he found was a new heat pump. This item is about $100 vs. over a $1k for a new machine so I decided to give it a shot. And now it washes like it was new again! While I think this heat pump should last longer than 4 years its good to know the solution to the problem at least. Another telltale item is the sound. When it was new you could hear water sloshing around but the machine got quieter as time went on and before the repair you could barely hear water at all.About the pump - it was identical to the original pump and people have written that no hose clamp comes with it. Mine had a hose clamp on it but it was a very thin hose clamp, not robust at all, and it was slid onto the joint all the way to where one might have completely missed it. Anyway, the screwdriver slot to tighten it was minuscule so I used the 1 1/2" one that I had purchased to do the job and tightened it with a nut driver.

This was an awesome buy , Saved tons of money by installing it myself. It fit right in and works like a charm right from the start. Excellent replacement Part !!!

Fits properly, works well and delivered quickly.Plus a LOT cheaper than OEM.It's been in over a year when I wrote this review.

Good quality. Appears to be identical to the factory pump. Here are the two side-by-side. The one without the back rubber piece is the original factory pump.Have been using this one for a day and it is working well so far.

Our Bosch washer was not heating and giving error message 09. Followed Youtube videos and diagnosed the problem. Ordered this. Followed another video on how to install it and had it installed it in an hour. Washer works perfectly again. The first pump lasted 10 years, despite the filter always being clogged. I bought new filters too. If I get a few more years out of the machine, this part will have been money very well spent. Note that it does make more noisy than the original Bosch pump. It's not terrible, but noticeable.
