Brilliant
Thank you for this masterpiece. I’ve been on a bit of a Sagan binge as of late and have recently read/re-read many of Carl’s books and collaborations with Ann in chronological order the past couple months. The insight from Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors led me to seeking out more knowledge and reading works by some other experts on human evolution, neuroscience, and primatology. I had been holding off on Billions and Billions - not wanting this remarkable voyage to come to a close - then once Cosmos: Possible Worlds was released I felt it was time. Carl’s last chapter there and Ann’s epilogue were genuinely emotional and had me tearing up towards the end.Immediately following that up with Possible Worlds was a special pathway to our present understanding of the Cosmos in the years since. Ann’s spark of curiosity certainly hasn’t faded. In fact, it has expanded profoundly. This book is full of updates on topics covered in previous works, enhanced with the latest discoveries in numerous fields. As well, it includes historical accounts of key scientific figures and some mind blowing things I had no knowledge of previously (my personal favorite was the scout bees elaborate dance to convey data to the rest of the colony and triangulate coordinates of potential new hive locations and the democratic process of bee colonies to choose the best of several options presented). The written content here alone would have been more than enough, yet this book goes above and beyond in including many spectacular and exquisite images to accompany the narrative at every appropriate juncture. It’s an impressive, enriching, and humble presentation, accessible to everyone and sure to keep the of spark of curiosity going. This has me excited about future discoveries to come in future exploration of our home planet, solar system, and beyond, from our unique vantage point in the universe.

Great Book
Really enjoyed it. Thought it would just be about the stars but also was an excellent dive into human history and how everything began

A beautiful book to have!
First, I almost never give five stars, but this book was so much better than anticipated. It is a beautifully detailed book with tons of colorful photos and explanations. It’s larger than I thought it would be. This was bought for my hubby but my 15 year old son confiscated it for a few days. When he brought it back, he was so excited to show us several things within the book that he had bookmarked with his shoelaces! I would recommend this book to anyone with even an inkling of interest in space. I would even recommend it to families with school-aged children. Thank you so much for this wonderful book!

Excelente Libro
Esperaba mejor calidad en la impresión y me hubiera gustado que la portada fuera impresa y no una hoja, pero aun así es un excelente libro, el paquete llego en excelente estado.

Nice
I thought this was the original book. But he said he’ll read it because it’s written by his wife that helped write the first book.

Opening the book
I'm 82 yrs old, a science addict, ex English teacher, and avid reader. I love "Cosmos", but cannot read very long because whoever bound the book made it almost impossible for me to hold it open. The pages will all SWING shut if I let go!! When my fingers and arms wear out, I have to stop reading. I'm wondering if ALL copies' pages are "too tight"! (Don't know how else to describe it.) Maybe the paperback edition will be better. In all my years of reading, I've never experienced a book with this problem. (Interesting -- don't' use that publisher again :-( )Judy Starkey

Brilliant and Beautiful.
This book is absolutely wonderful. Ann Druyan is such a talented science communicator and brilliant writer. This book is a reminder of what matters, and that the MUCH bugger picture matters. If you, like me, needed an escape from 2020, look no further.

Moral of the story: Respect thy Mother
Beautifully written book about true, scientific stories that led us to where we are now and where we are going. If you’ve had trouble accepting humanity recently like a lot of us have, read this book. We are one species on a planet of hundreds of thousands. But that number is decreasing. This planet Earth, in a single galaxy of billions, has evolved to become so advanced. Now, we need to work on ourselves, treat each other kinder and, appreciate and respect the beautiful planet we’re lucky enough to call home. But read the book. She says it much better.
