Excellent and comprehensive book to learn C++
As a beginner in the coding/programming world I started reading this book which was requested by my professor of scientific programming class in college. Through the semester we worked with this book up to Ch 5. I had since then continuing reading it and I am on Ch 12 now. I have enjoyed every single chapter of it doing the exercises that comes in the end of every chapter to put my acquired knowledge of C++ into practice and start developing skills. I am so thankful to that professor and this book because it has opened my mind and helped me discover a real passion. I do really enjoy programming much. I'm also glad I started with C++ since it is one of the hardest programming languages to learn; when I started reading this book I did not even know that. This has helped me feel confident in tackling down any other programming language now.As I said this book is really comprehensive and covers everything you need to know to start with. Variables, modules, objects, classes, libraries and also advice

In truth, I believe there is always room for improvement. I am sure Dr. Bronson believes that as well. With that said, I have really enjoyed the book and that is why I gave a 5 star. The material is well explained, I like how the exercises are given after each section and at the end. As a chemical engineer, I also like how many of the exercises have an engineering theme.I have only begun my journey, but I believe I will have a good grasp of C++ after I finish the book. I just wish a solutions manual was available for at least the odd problems.

Great choice
I appreciate a well-thought out and structured approach to textbooks. This book is great to follow because Bronson does not meld more than one concept into one explanation. The book is a lengthy read, and you will largely not need to know all of the information in any one chapter, but the sheer quality of the read will keep you interested to learn more. What I would say is to use a friend or some other source to actually set up C++ on your computer; this book assumes that the software is already working for you from the beginning.

100% Worth It
I used this book for my class entitled “Programming for Engineers”. The text has great explanations as well as sample codes and programs that can be copied into a C++ software for extra practice and understanding. The use of the book for studying definitely made the class more worth my while.

I used this book in college and the book explains the concept pretty well and everything but when it comes to coding its a nightmare. The book does not come with an answer key to look at the practice projects which sometimes it can be difficult when you have to write long code. Its very extreme difficult to find the student solution for this book. The only thing I didn't like was the price which it cost me close around $100 dollars or a little bit more. The book its quite small size but its pretty heavy loaded with a lot pages which its tedious to carry.
