Distinctions by Hillman 844688 5-Inch Floating Mount House Bronze, Number 3

Looks great but the templates are not really accurate--some of mine were out about 1/8" and needed to be reoriented. Also, templates need to take into account the shape of the numbers and lay them out for how they look in relation to each other not just to have them all exactly the same distance apart. Drill the holes at least 1/32" larger or ream them out well with the drill bit and use P9 glue instead of the caulking for a permanent fit. Have a hammer with a piece of wood ready to drive them into the holes fully. Make sure you either cut the bolts off to length prior to driving them into the board or that you are using board at least as thick as the bolts are long, otherwise they will protrude out the back making it impossible to get a flush fit against a wall.

Having purchased 5 numerals in "Bronze" finish, I was disappointed to realize that the finish was not consistent (see photo). All were ordered at the same time, but several shipped from different locations at different times. Apparently, there's a batch quality control issue. Unfortunately I don't notice this until they'd been fitted. In addition, the number '1' numeral would not accept the screw-in hardware easily, and one of the mounting pieces broke during installation. This was all despite my taking a great deal of time to prepare and perform the installation.

The number was not the color stated in the listing and to return it I had to pay the cost! Beware!

These items are cheaply made. They do not hold up to their installation instructions. I attempted to install these in a decorative wall on the front of my property. The wall has a stucco coating. I followed the directions verbatim, however, when attempting to push the installation studs into the stucco the numbers bent and the studs broke off where they screw into the number. I ended up discarding all four numbers I purchased. A total waste!

Arrived on time and as described. Some reviews in 2020 said the bronze color did not all match but fortunately the ones I received did. The template was also correct for number 4 (which another reviewer mentioned was not aligned). Perhaps the manufacturer has fixed these issues because all is good now. Works great for our minimalist look!

Easy enough to install. Modern and clean look. Takes some time to set up proper spacing and evenness.

These were super easy to install. I had no issue installing into a big piece of artificial plastic rock. Color is pretty cool and adds character.
