Soapstone Pentacle Altar Tile

The stone is much different than what was in the picture , but I am still satisfied because it was bound to be different and it’s still pretty and genuine stone. This altar tile is much bigger than I expected, so I was happy at that. I only wish that the depressed/carved areas inside the pentacle were polished and shiny like the raised parts/back of the stone.

This was exactly as described and is beautiful. When it arrived, it was very fragrant, like it has been doused or soaked (treated maybe?) with some sort of perfume. It was flowery, so not like a pungent odor. I soaked it and washed off the perfume with no issue though. For most people I am sure the perfume would not be an issue, but I have asthma and perfumes trigger it. But it was easily remedied and I love the pentacle!

It's always a grab-bag when you order handcrafted items with natural materials (stone, wood, etc.). You have to be prepared for some manner of deviation from the product's official photograph. (Within reason, of course.) I'm fairly happy with the tile I received, but I had to knock off a star for some noticeable defects.1. A sizeable crack across the front of the tile and another, smaller crack on the back. They've been smoothed and stabilized, so I see it as a cosmetic flaw rather than a structural problem.2. The finishing on the inside of the pentagram is inconsistent with the rest of the tile. In the photo, it looks like I spilled melted butter on those spots, but I didn't. It's the finishing.

I originally purchased one of these about 2 to 3 years ago and loved the alter tile i received. Decided to purchase 3 more last month, and compared to my original purchase, these are larger and thicker, as well as a bit heavier. My original is now attached to me front door, and these will go on my sacred room alter and me living room alter, while the third will be a backup in case one breaks. These are perfect additions to ones alter; not too large and not too small. The thickness will allow me to place my incense charcoal burner to sit on them and work well with any rituals i may perform. I would most DEFINITELY recommend these to others, and am very impressed both with the seller and the quickness with which i received them! These tiles are definitely worth a five star rating!!! If I could, I would have given a 10 star rating!!!

The piece I received was not as pictured AT ALL! It was brown and missing about a 1/2” of stone all the way around. Super disappointed.

The soapstone pentacle does not look like the picture. The tile seems not finished. The pentacle is not perfect, but I like it because it is not perfect. This tile is darker and the markings are bolder. If the tile is turned, there are a myriad of meanings. After blessing and charging I used this tool as a focal point for an egg working.

So it's been approximately a year and a half or so since getting this. Two is pictured and I received one, as I expected, some think otherwise, and I had a most peculiar experience I warmed mine up to melt wax that spilled from my spirit candle for Samhain (Halloween candle) and I smelt so much inscence I felt like I was transported to India. It was wonderful! And also very odd. It is still cooling near my stove, but I saw online it came from India and thought I should share the experience. =}
