Garofalo Medium Couscous Pasta, 1 kg

Placed 2 orders. Each order was for 2 packs of 1kg for £8. The day after it went up to £9 for the 2 packs!! Waiting for the price to come down before placing another order. It is couscous, with a medium grain which we like. To get perfect couscous, what I do with this one or any other couscous wether it is fine or medium grain, I do a 1 to 1 ratio which I did as per the enclosed photo: - I took 1 coffee cup and filled it up to the rim with this couscous. - Then I put the couscous in a bowl, poured some olive oil, and mixed the whole thing up with my fingers making sure all the grains absorbed the oil. (We can also use melted butter or a mixture of olive oil and melted butter). - Then I took the same coffee cup previously used to measure the couscous and filled it up to the rim with boiling water. In it I added a pinch of salt. - I then poured this hot water over the couscous, and put a plate on top. 6 minutes later I removed the plate and fluffed it up with a fork and it was perfectly cooked!! It is not sticky, but nice and fluffy as per the enclosed photos. It makes a very quick tasty and healthy meal with fried or baked vegetables.

Only tried this during lockdown because i couldn't find couscous anywhere else . having tired it tho i much prefer it over normal supermarket couscous . the grains are a larger size which i prefer and absorb better . worth the extra money if you eat alot of couscous or using it as like the center piece of a meal (can save extra money with subscribe and save also) great product 10/10

Have ordered this item before as I eat couscous regularly in place of rice and pasta. The taste is fine, as goes for any standard couscous, and all depends on what strong flavoured foods you serve it with. It is more expensive than when bought from a supermarket.

Love this cous cous...so easy to prepare and you can add different herbs, spices etc tochange its flavour of serve as it is. Lovely nutty flavour on it's own. Packaging totally rubbish! It had fallen out and postman had to pop it back in. Please get rid of this packaging method Amazon.

Really nice couscous with a lovely texture and good flavour. We got this as Sainsburys were never in stock of couscous, but have now switched over to exclusively getting Garofalo as it is so much nicer. The difference between this and supermarket own-brand couscous is similar to the difference in pasta between brands like DeCecco and supermarket own-brand.

I am sure the couscous would have been lovely however, the bag split. The delivery driver showed me a picture of the package leaking couscous everywhere and was adamant that he should return the package and a replacement would be given. I reluctantly agreed, only no replacement was given and my entire subscribe and save order got cancelled and refunded. Not happy.

I can't always find this at my local supermarkets or even with my online food delivery, but I keep coming back to this one. It's great, fluffs up nicely and the packaging is sensible and strong enough not to tear and send cous cous flying everywhere?

What a wonderful discovery this is! I hadn’t tried it before, and was a bit worried about preparing it etc. However, I needn’t have worried, although the writing on the packet is virtually unreadable, even the parts in English, and there are no preparation instructions actually provided on the packet either, a quick search on Google informed me of everything I needed to know to venture forth and prepare my first dish of Cous Cous! I wasn’t disappointed, it tasted lovely, and such a pleasant change from pasta or rice. I will definitely be ordering and using more of this in the future.
