My daughter and I love the rainbow look, what a good way to update some shoes. I got these for my 4yr old because I wanted her to be able to use a pair of lace up high tops by herself at school. They were easy to install, but they're still kind of difficult for her to put on by herself. I think especially for a small shoe (the picture is on a toddler size 11), it's hard to get the right balance of loose enough to get on and off easily while being tight when you're wearing them. I probably used a little more than half of one lace on each shoe. Being high tops doesn't help, but once I got them loose enough so she could get them on by herself, they're still pretty loose when she's walking. However, having the buckle does help with that so I like that feature. Once she gets used to stretching the laces to get the shoe on, maybe I'll try shortening them more.When I first tried to install these, one of the buckle pieces had a bad thread and wouldn't stay on. I contacted the seller and they were amazing at communicating and sent a replacement immediately, even though it had taken me a month since receiving the order to try and use these. That was really impressive and deserves 5 stars, but I still love the laces too.

Bought these for my daughter's vans. She still has not master timing shoes and when getting ready for school, she needs to be as independent as possible. She loves the color. I was also able to use just one lace for shoes since she is a kid (shoes size kids 13), which gives us an extra one for future to replace or use somewhere else. The directions were pretty easy to follow, when you get to the burning part be ready to blow out the flame as they light up quick. The only down side is they are still pretty strong for little kids to pull on when putting thier shoes on. Hopefully this will get better the more we use them and break the laces in.

Bought for my 7 year old so she didn’t have to tie her shoes and miss the bus. We ordered the pink pair. The only downside is that you have to use the smallest screw and screwdriver. But it holds the laces in place. I am happy with the product.

The latch that came with these pink sparkly laces is different and inferior to the one that came with the rainbow laces from the same seller. It attaches poorly with a tiny screw and came off twice in less than a week. This resulted in the latch being lost by my child, and now we can no longer use the laces. I want a refund.Meanwhile the rainbow ones are still kicking after months of use. I’m frustrated that I can’t predict which version I’m ordering, because one is great and one is essentially defective by design. Sad face.The laces themselves were both great.

My 9 yr old son is having trouble learning to tie. While I still want him to focus on learning to tie- in the morning right before work/school is not the optimal time to do so. These help us get our shoes on and go. I can see where these would also be an excellent choice for a child or elder with motor or sensory issues. The elastic is of good quality and they're relatively easy to install. Just lace through the shoes, cut the ends so they fit, burn the fuzzies off the end with a lighter (this part is a MUST so that the laces fit into the clasp), fold the ends very slightly, insert into clasp, and install the little hardware on the back. The laces even came with a kit that had everything we needed! Will repurchase!

UPDATE:This is my 6th purchase and these are awesome! I’ve never had to replace and they do NOT fringe or warp. The elastic keeps it shape too so I’ve never had to adjust even after many runs on the trail! Pro tips:1. Put the elastics in and wear your shoes a couple of days with just the elastics. They look like laces so no one will know and you can adjust for the right fit before cutting them off to install the plates2. Do NOT cut off the end of the elastics all the way to where you think you need them at. I cut to where I still have about 4 inches to work with before putting on the plates3. Put you shoes ON, double the elastic over (as shown in the supplied instructions) and then place your plate on. Screw the screw in to hold the plate. Do the other side the same way. Don’t worry about the extra elastic sticking out yet.4. Adjust the laces to make sure they connect as you wish, the plates lay in the center, etc. If you need to take up more elastic or move the laces around, remove the screw and adjust accordingly.5. Once you are completely satisfied, THEN cut off the extra elastic under the plates.If you cut off too much of the elastic at first, there is NO way to add it back on. Leaving the elastic a little long while you install them does not affect the install at all and allows for mistakes, especially when doing these for the 1st time.It IS tedious but if you follow these tips, you will want these in ALL your shoes with laces as they just look so much better too. I get sooo many compliments and it is so much easier to just slip on and go.Don’t hesitate to buy!!Well, I feel like I’ve earned a Masters degree in tieless shoelaces after installing these suckers. Definitely not easy. But I do like the finished product & the ease of slipping on my run abouts so if they last, definitely worth it. Just prepare yourself to take it slow & careful & definitely follow the instructions!
