The Animal-Wise Tarot

Being an opened item I was expecting there to be some sign of it being uses. This deck was in perfect condition! I couldn't be happier! Thanks

My first look into the tarot and to spirit animals in general. This deck and book have changed the way I look at things and have opened up an interest in animals, nature and the tarot. His tarot meanings are all positive and offer solutions instead of warnings. Good intro to tarot or just animals in general as it's filled with interesting information about each animal. As with many of Ted Andrews books it is not put together in the most professional way. The cards have real photos of animals but not National Geographic images by any means. My book, although it has been used a lot, had to be taped in several places to hold it together. BUT the information is top notch and not worth passing up just because the packaging could be prettier.

The Animal Wise Tarot is an interesting deck. The deck has animals instead of people, buildings, boats, etc. Oddly, I like this deck! It works! Ted Andrews did a great job of matching animals to reflect the meaning of the tarot cards.This deck uses the same names for the Major Arcana with keywords and statement at the bottom, much like an oracle deck. The Minor Arcana cards have been renamed with the standard names written in smaller letters beneath the new name. They also have messages written on the bottom, the same as the Major Arcana.The new names for the Minor Arcana are Ancients for Wands, Shapeshifters for Cups, Winged Ones for Swords, and Four-Leggeds for Pentacles. This deck is full insects, amphibians, and all sorts of creatures. This deck works especially well for anyone who is into shamanism or the study of totem animals.

This deck is only available used. The deck I received was missing the major arcana so I had to return it.

Don't get me wrong, I love these cards...in the ORIGINAL edition, which is what is shown. So the one pictured is NOT the same on in the description.Frankly, I want to exchange for that edition. The new ones don't feel right at all. They're boring on the front. Unfortunately, my boyfriend opened the cards with the less attractive pictures. I mean, it's New Mexico Tribal art is fine, it's just not my style. Is there any way I can exchange them for the beautiful first edition that is IN THE PICTURE of the description? If not, I fear due to misrepresentation, I will be filing a complaint.EDIT: Amazon is sending me a replacement deck, I hope it's the one pictured.

I love these cards just based on the card corresponding to "The Tower", alone. Here it is the vulture, and there is a beautiful description that really made me think about the whole concept that the card represents in a totally different way. To me, tarot cards are not most valuable as a devinatory tool, but rather as an offer to think of myself and the world around me from a different perspective. It is a commitment to spend a bit of contemplative time outside of the same rut that my brain often seems to run in. I have collected four decks over time - I can tell that this is the one that I will be most often drawn to.

I was very impressed with the Animal Wise Tarot as I have many of Ted Andrews books and his deck of tarot cards is truly a different way to do Tarot. It can also help you get in touch with the animal spirits/totems that are working in your life at the time you do your readings. This is a great deck to work with. Anyone who is interested in animal and wants more than just an animal oracle this is the one to get.

I love this deck. It's vintage Ted Andrews and to me it's like an animal oracle and tarot combined. I just wish the card stock was not so awful. Then it would be five stars!

This is a really good tarot set and gives so much information on the meaning of each card. Stunningly beautiful illustrations - probably one of the best tarot sets around and I would recommend it without hesitation.

Animal-Wise Tarot is a very powerful deck, full of deep wisdom and insights that are indeed true. It has positive energy.

I am really enjoying these cards, great for those who love animals and spirit animals!
