I bought these to proof large batches of bread dough in, and keep out bugs.I love these things! They work great for storing soups too as they are airtight. They don't leak if sealed properly. Very sturdy.

Great salad bowls

8 quart containers: rather the size of a big salad serving bowl. One holds a turkey breast (whole on bone, roasted breast.) Good locking lid.I wanted the next size down but these big bowls are actually pretty useful. I pack up the contents of those food kits (like Blue Apron or Hello Fresh) and put all the ingredients in the bowl. When getting ready to cook up one of the kits, I pull out the entire bowl and it's easier to fish in there for the garlic, zucchini and packs of sauces.I also make up a batch of salad (lettuce, cucumber, onion, olives, etc) enough for several meals. The bowl keeps it very crisp and when I get home, hungry for dinner, I serve out a salad to act as appetizer and to keep me from noshing on less healthful things.I also pack my lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes and cut onions into the bowl and store it on another shelf for a quick access to salad and veg fixings. No bag of lettuce escapes me now to turn magically and horribly into brown liquid in the back of the fridge.My friends try to steal them when I come over with batches of soup but you can always use the Brother label maker to fend off thievery. This contains 2 bowls and 2 lids, it isn't specified anywhere and the photos don't help to make that distinction. It's noted as a 4 pack in 4-5 spots so its misleading at best. They work as you'd expect and amazon gave me a 50% discount for the false advertising.
