Like the idea but product durability issue to support travel
I used this pair to support my heavy denier canvas first used as a travel cover support on my 18 ft boat. When adding proper canvas strapping to the top, it stayed in position well and not falling over. However, I found twice on the road my rear pole would just collapse. I am not sure if this was due to vibration that untwisted the support pole in its upright position. I twisted them pretty tight. I'm still giving it 5 stars since it exceeds my expectation to withstand the travel and winds for 2 trips at 550 mi. For me I found the first install just tedious to cut my own strapping and buckles to secure the cover at the desired height. Update: 2nd and 3rd trip, 1 pole collapses under pressure continually. Twist lock seems to strip out. Contacting mfg... -2 stars

UPDATED! Much better now that I figured it out
Original review: Just arrived. I was excited because so am replacing a home-made solution to prop up our patio seating area tarp. I wanted something was light weight (aluminum) and telescoping for height adjustment. Saw these adversitied for boat covers, so I assumed the would be durable. Put the together in less than a minute. Went to attach the “mushroom” caps to the top. What a joke! They barely seat into the pole (a half inch), and literally fall off just moving the pole. I could blow one off the pole with a decent puff of air! Instructions say to secure the tops to the base with “straps…not provided”. No thanks! Guess I running out to spend more money on epoxy to secure the tops to the posts. Terrible design! Updated Review: I was originally pretty disappointed with these, mainly because I could not get the mushroom caps to seat deep enough on the post. If you look at my photos, your see that there is about a 1/2” of the post extending from the blue collar. The mushroom cap didn’t seat fully, and would just fall off. I was ticked! When I’m going to say it, but I’m an IDIOT. I didn’t realize that there were 2 telescoping sections on these! I wasn’t initially extending the top section at all! I thought it was a design flaw! It isn’t. Just user-error. I even ran out and got some epoxy glue as I was going to try to glue the caps on there. That’s when I literally just discovered that the top section expands and the mushroom cap not seats fully. It’s not a snug fit, but should be fine. I may still epoxy them on, or simply wrap some electrical tape around the post to make it a bit more snug. Changed my feedback score to 4/5. Much happier now!

Everything sinks!
Well enough constructed but the mushroom caps don’t lock, depending on the straps to hold them in place. This makes it tricky to secure the stand while keeping the cap on. Further, every part of the unit sinks! My bad but the wind got my two caps and blew them into the water. Never to be seen again. I wouldn’t buy this product again.

These work great.
These are better than the poles that came with the pontoon cover.

Quality of Pole
One of the two poles won’t tighten in place and the cap doesn’t fit on one of the poles. The pole dropped, causing the cover to sag.

Great item
Works well but is kind of expensive for what it's made from. Don't use it while towing! (no I didn't try, but others have...lol) A suggestion.....make a tapered plug that fits into the seat stand holes with a hole in the center for the vertical tube. Wind will never be able to blow it over!! I will have a couple 3D printed for ease of set-up.

Good quality/useful
Use all the time in the boat. Easy to use and store. If rains too hard, may tip over

Works perfectly. Large base keeps the poles in place.
Liked everything about these. Large enough head to help prevent poking through the cover, sturdy base keeps the pole from falling. Has grooves for straps on the pole head in case you need it (I didn't). I should have bought 2 packs!
