Great for outside play
10/10. Bigger than I thought. Very sturdy and durable. Easy to use and the kids love it.

Real Metal with some plastic parts, sturdy, classic, large! A great TONKA Truck!
Like the older Tonkas, solid, sturdy and large! I wanted this to be a gift for our grandson that would last! A dump truck that he could put things in, play with inside and outside, and enjoy for years. This is the one!

Epic Tonka!
The Tonka Steel Classics Bulldozer is everything you want in a toy truck — rugged, heavy‑duty, and ready for hours of play. The mix of real steel and sturdy plastic gives it a satisfying weight and durability that kids (and parents) love. My little one grabs this thing every chance they get, whether it’s cruising through the living room carpet or pushing around dirt and sand outside. The bright yellow design is iconic and instantly recognizable, and the big blade in front really works — it scoops and pushes with ease, just like a real construction vehicle. It’s simple enough for toddlers to enjoy but still fun for older kids who like imaginative play. What I appreciate most is that this isn’t a flimsy toy — it feels built to survive the rough play that inevitably happens with trucks like this. If you’re looking for a timeless, hardworking toy that kids will come back to again and again, this Tonka bulldozer is a home run! And NO batteries!

A faithful perfect toy
Huge. I would say it's just like I remember but in the 70s I only had two small ones brand new. The mighty dump I had a long with the mighty crane I got very used, dented, battered and rusty, salvaged from trash and was still thrilled to have them. I opted for this one instead of the more expensive one with a little more steel which is still not the same as original. It is awesome. The plastic parts are thick and designed with ....for lack of better words...braces and buttresses to make it super sturdy. I think this is a fine product for anyone. A kid, teen, adult.... A lot of the thin or sharp under pieces are now plastic so...hey.... less chances of tetanus or cuts. This morning I cought the cat asleep in the bed but couldn't get a pic fast enough. To people who say things like....four months later they were starting to rust and paint was peeling....guess what....that's also what happened to the ones in the 1970s left outside. The old ones may have rusted more over the decades but scratched steel rusts period. I think a prime reason we left them outside is they're just huge. I know my mom refused to let me bring in the rusty, muddy, dented things. At this price point it's even a nice nostalgic gift for someone in their 50s or 60s. Load it with old fashioned candy and gift it. Will absolutely bring happiness. No need to complain it isn't the exact same. Most things are not 55 years later but THIS is a very fine modern rendition that is absolutely HUGE. Even I had forgotten exactly how big these things are to hold. Get one. **Got the Tonka Mighty Roller. You can fill the roller with water or sand to make it heavier! Never had a Mighty Roller but still have my beloved mini roller from 1972 that saw a million miles of play. I don't know how they choose now which parts to make plastic and which to make steel....but...it is awesome and huge and I don't see how a child could destroy it by playing with it. Super awesome for my collection. See photo :)

Real metal Tonka is back — simple, durable, and actually gets used
I bought this for my 2-year-old nephew for his birthday because he’s obsessed with trucks, and I remembered the old steel Tonka toys from when we were kids. Turns out my sister and brother-in-law had specifically been trying to find a metal truck for him and couldn’t—everything they’d seen was lightweight plastic. This one delivered exactly what we were hoping for. The steel dump bed gives it real weight and durability, and the plastic parts feel thick and well-attached rather than flimsy. It survives being loaded, dumped, pushed across concrete, and generally abused the way a toddler actually plays. No sharp edges, no tiny parts, nothing that feels fragile. Most importantly: he uses it constantly. It’s become a go-to toy, not something that gets played with once and forgotten. That’s usually the best test of all. If you’re looking for a classic-style Tonka that feels like a real toy instead of a disposable plastic one, this hits the mark. Simple, tough, and nostalgic in the right way—without trying to be gimmicky. Would buy again without hesitation.

More durable than I would have thought
Decent little toy, my son loves it and the blade and everything holds up better than I would have guessed. The plastic is decent quality where it's flexible enough that it doesn't just break when flexed. And there are parts of it that are metal and metal reinforced so that it can even be used to push some dirt and rocks without breaking easily.

Love that steel quality--made to last!
Bought this as a gift for my little grandson. It's big, and made well, too. Functional fun outdoors with its dump mechanism. Sturdy and should last a long time. I feel the price was really great--cheaper than Tractor Supply. Classic CAT colors and realistic looking. My grandson is only 1 but he loves anything with wheels:)
