Installed this in my Nissan Sunrader RV and couldn't be happier. Great sound, plenty of AV inputs and smart styling.I got around the remote control issues by adding a Cable Matters Infrared Remote Extender Cable unit, and can now control the unit anywhere in my camper.Paired with my cell phone's Bluetooth, I can play music, movies and You tube videos. Add a Roku stick with your internet connection and you're all set for days when weather keeps you inside.Update:Tried out my Roku Stick with an Acer screen and then plugged in a USB with music and movies. The screen plugged into the HDMI out really adds another dimension for control, showing you the folders and songs. Easy to navigate with the arrows on the remote.Too bad that Furrion hasn't updated the Android/Apple app for this unit.

I am someone who really values a good stereo. All the head units I've seen (every player currently offered) or personally used (jensen, drive) in an RV have been GARBAGE! They sound crappy and have very low power (typ). This DV1230 from Furrion has blown away my expectations. It sounds great and the unit feels like it is good quality.Zone 1 & 2 have 4X25W. Zone 3 has 2X15W and can play a different source at its own dedicated volume level.The EQ settings are very good. The look is good. The buttons and switches feel like quality. I highly recommend this unit!Update: the remote is "okay". Needs very direct line to the head unit receiver to work, not much off axis capability. Also, remote is very complex & non ergonomic, you MUST have a light to see all the buttons to know what you are selecting!

I purchased the unit as it met my specifications according to the description. I needed a unit that would have a HDMI output, which this unit not only had, it also had a HDMI input (bonus for me and you will soon know why). The other specification I needed was that it would play MP4 (videos/movies). Unfortunately after some trial an error I could not get the unit to play MP4 videos. I was using a 1 TB hard drive (fail) then tried a 64GB thumb drive (fail). I was able to get technical support and I was informed the USB could only handle a 16GB thumb drive or less, nothing larger (bummer) but not totally a deal breaker. I found an older 4 GB and loaded a couple of MP4 movies for trial and came across my next challenge, after loading and attempting to play the movie, the unit stated "initializing" for several seconds and then came the following message "Format unsupported". Again I contacted technical support and they provided me a list of MP4 compatible formats. I tried every MP4 video and audio setting permeation according to the provided list but to no avail. Could not get the unit to play a movie off the USB. After reading some reviews it was obvious I wasn't alone and soon realized that the MP4 firmware is outdated and week at best and can not read standard MP4 video codec formatting. I found a work around by connecting my laptop to the HDMI input (bonus) and Walla, it worked! Not ideal but it does work and I can utilize the RV speakers for a better sound experience. Over all the unit is very well made, audio sounds much better than my older unit, and my blue tooth functionality is also better. I would of given five stars but the MP4 did not work. So if anyone else is purchasing this unit for the MP4 functionality, be warned, it will most likely not work.

Stay away from these units. As many have experienced static when using Bluetooth I can attest that my unit I installed two weeks ago is also defective. I’ve sent two requests to FURRION to see if there is a firmware update and so far all I hear is crickets. I don’t have much confidence in FURRION fixing the issue. I’ll give them a week and then I’m hoping Amazon can get a return going for this receiver. I’d give anything of a major manufacturer like Sony, Alpine or Pioneer would make RV specific units, unfortunately the market just isn’t there. RVs need 2-3 zones and that is where the problem lies. No one makes multi zone units except FURRION. Be wary of anything FURRION puts their name on unless you want a nightmare. Avoid this unit at all costs.

Sounds great, not much for instructions, in order for zone 3 to function the mode should be on ARC

This unit some what renewed my faith in Furrion products. This DV3300 (NOT THE -S) is all of what the 3100 was not. This is a drop in replacement to the DV3100. That is with the exception of adding a HDMI cable to the TV is uses the same electrical connectors and wiring and fits in the same opening. So unplug the old, run HDMI to TV, plug in the new, slide in opening, screw in the 4 fastening screws and your done. The BT works amazing, in the 3100 what a joke. THE app works flawlessly so can sit outside camper and control the various functions, i.e. source, volume, DVD, radio, etc. . I know there are complaints about no Blu-Ray but to each is own. There was a complaint about fan noise, mine is super quiet, no distracting fan noise. THE HDMI-ARC works as it should with my Sharp smart TV. WILL see what the long term reliability looks like but initially I'm very pleased.

first one i got looked like it was open box, decided to return it after manufacture said warrantee is only valid if you pick one that said fulfilled by amazon. loved that 3rd zone is independent, but directions are all most non existent on how too use it. unit sounds good and seems too work good, was one of the few that had 3 zones and hdmi in and out.
