Review: Best rope at a reasonable price - I've been jumping rope since 2012. I skip 7 days a week. Usually 3,000 skips a day but sometimes 4,000 or even 5,000. I use my desertcart rope and a lighter Decathlon rope on alternate days. The desertcart rope has lasted me 4 months already (so 2 months of actual use). It's still in good shape. The foam on the handles is intact. The handle bearings are fine. There's no rust. So the build quality is excellent. I also like this rope because it is slightly heavier than the Decathlon rope. Like a heavy flywheel it allows me to skip steadily on all kinds of surfaces (good momentum). Because of the extra weight it also works out the arms and shoulders better. Highly recommended.

I've been jumping rope since 2012. I skip 7 days a week. Usually 3,000 skips a day but sometimes 4,000 or even 5,000. I use my Amazon rope and a lighter Decathlon rope on alternate days. The Amazon rope has lasted me 4 months already (so 2 months of actual use). It's still in good shape. The foam on the handles is intact. The handle bearings are fine. There's no rust. So the build quality is excellent. I also like this rope because it is slightly heavier than the Decathlon rope. Like a heavy flywheel it allows me to skip steadily on all kinds of surfaces (good momentum). Because of the extra weight it also works out the arms and shoulders better. Highly recommended.

Although there are myriad brands of Jump ropes available for lesser cost, i would recommend this rope for the following reasons. They are from Amazon basics - would have a good warranty The handles are really good, they have good grip, they are firm and the ball bearing mechanism just gets better and better with the use. The rope height is ideal, useful for any height since it's adjustable. The quality of the ropes are just normal, however you can always get premium quality ropes and use these handles. Lastly, it is good for a beginner to start out with as well as a pro for some speed rope tricks.
