Construction is metal. Thumbscrews are large. Unfortunately, no machined groove in the top of the thumbscrews for a screwdriver, but the head is large, so not likely to need. Cold shoe has a slightly oversized lip, so it fully covers the base of the speedlight. Giving a 4-star rating for now.
