Good information but , due to type, somewhat difficult to read.

Great reading but no illustrations
This book is written in an almost archaic style - classic 19th century erudite gentleman-scholar stuff. What is interesting is that the writer is clearly ahead of his time as a thoughtful critic of blind religious zealotry, especially of the modern variety. The major drawback of this particular copy (kindle download) is that there are no illustrations. There are many "PLATES" listed throughout the work, and within the text are explanations of what we are supposed to be looking at, but the illustrations are missing. This seems like a serious inadequacy on Amazon's part considering that this is a book about symbolism.I called customer support about this problem, and the agent said that because this is a free book, there was nothing he could do but pass on my feedback. He said it could take months before the problem is rectified. Lame.

Ancient Pagan and Modern Christian Symbolism With an Essay on Baal Worship,...
Great Book, a lot of information in it. It is a good tool to use to study and talk with others.

Stitled
Too stilted and appears to view Christianity as a nother heathen myth. Difficult to to mentally track. I never finished the book.

Idolatry
I downloaded on e-book, but you need the diagrams to make sense of the book. My bad. Would be excellent with diagrams.
