I am still in the market for a well-designed version of this. Unfortunately, this is not the one. The blades are insufficiently sharp to crack the shell, resulting in crushing. The mechanisms have too much play, resulting in poor operation. Great concept, terrible execution.

I bought this for one-handed use after surgery thinking it would break the shell but keep the yolk intact. It did do that a couple of times but no matter how I tried, I could not find the magic that did this repeatedly. So if you don't mind broken egg yolks for say an omelet, then fine. If you must have an intact yolk for a poached egg, separating whites or whatever, then this is not for you.

I bought this primarily because my granddaughter wanted to help me crack eggs for my recipes. But I find that it's useful when you have to crack a lot of eggs, like for creme brulee. It's only problem is it tends to need an egg that is smaller than our standard large size, although I continue to use it for the large eggs.

This thing is a blast! It doesn't crack them perfect everytime (hell it's not like we do without I anyway LOL) but it's a blast to use and makes busting egg's quick when you have 5 mouths to feed. Easy to clean too! Bit big for storage but hey when something makes things go quicker and easier it's worth it!

So, I was set to unveil my latest gizmo at our weekly Sunday breakfast. People wondered what type of people would buy such a thing. I wondered who would think of producing such a thing. No matter, I was ready to wow them. First egg: punched a hole through the back. A resounding fail. 2d through 6th egg: no matter what I tried, all eggs got crushed, making a mess in the process. Other people tried their luck with ZERO success. The tool was very wobbly which I think contributed to the failures. The piercing points were poorly designed also. So I guess the positive reviews are from people who somehow got magic, well-behaved eggs. We weren't so lucky. All in all, I crown this gizmo as the worst product of the hundreds, perhaps thousands of purchases I have done on Amazon over the years. Moral of the story: Buyer beware, or more specifically, don't buy this c**p!

Very handy tool. Use it almost on the daily. Does the break the yolk half the time, but not an issue for me. Very quick egg shell disposal without the need to touch it. Would definitely recommend this. Saw some negative reviews, but not sure what they're about because I haven't experienced any downsides.

Comodo e utile ma non troppo funzionale. Quello che non si dice è che la misura è per uova piccole o al massimo medie dimensioni, le uova grandi non entrano e quindi è inutilizzabile. Anche la praticità di utilizzo non è delle migliori. Visto il prezzo di vendita mi sarei aspettata qualcosa di meglio.

Ik dacht dit is een gat in de markt voor iemand die een probleem heeft met eieren scheiden ed, nou ik kan zeggen het is inderdaad een ei cracker, ook al doe je het nog zo voorzichtig het ei gaat in z'n geheel aan gruzelementen, of het deeltje dat het ei naar voren drukt verdwijnt in het ei en krijg je er enkel handmatig uit. Het is werkelijk te lachwekkend voor woorden en voor het geld behoorlijk duur ook, dus mijn advies is dan ook koop hem niet want je wordt er nerveus van.
