Easy to assemble. Very Sturdy.
This is my second time purchasing. I gave mine with my parents when I moved to a house with a clothesline. Turns out it I can save a lot of money on the electric bill during the winter hanging my shirts and sweatshirts to dry. Also keeps them nicer longer! I bought a smaller one styled like this, but it’s not sturdy and tends to tip over even indoors if not loaded evenly on both sides. . This one is solid and larger with more space.Very easy to put together. No tools required.

Sturdier than I thought it would be for something so inexpensive.
Just got it today, so no thoughts on longevity. Came in a box measuring about 4" x 4" x 24 1/2". It was then shipped in a slightly larger box. 16 tubes and 8 connectors. 4 of the tubes make up the preassembled "X" frame assemblies, with those little push-in buttons that are commonly used to connect to holes in the other tubes. The connectors were a tight fit. Once assembled, it wobbled until I pushed down hard on each connector to seat it properly. That did take some strength. Once set up, I used a measuring tape. Each cross bar holds 21" of clothes and is 5 feet above the ground. The crossbars are 20" apart. This allows regular sized 16" hangers to hang on both sides, with about 3 1/2 " of space in-between the hangers on both sides. That space is quickly taken up with sleeves, so loading it up with heavy winter coats could be a tight squeeze. I wanted to test the strength and stability of the rack, so I used a wire tie/zip tie and hung a 25 lb. kettle bell on a cross bar. No problem. I then squeezed onto one side, 52 men's long sleeve shirts, probably 30-35 lbs. Again no problem. It did not tip over - still relatively stable. So - bottom line: is it as strong as a clothes bar in a closet? Of course not. Does it wobble? A little. I split the 52 shirts onto both sides and tried to knock it over. I would feel comfortable loading it up, without any fear of it falling down. If you are looking for something as strong as parallel bars used in gymnastics, buy those. It you want an inexpensive, portable, relatively sturdy and collapsible clothes rack, this fits the bill.

Great thing to have if you don’t have a lot of space!
My house isn’t that big, so I don’t have a lot of room for a great big rack to hang my clothes. I needed a rack to hang my clothes, because there really isn’t a place to hang my clothes close to where I do my ironing. So, when I saw this rack, it looked like what I needed to do the job…. So far, it has been great. It holds plenty of clothes. At one time I had three pairs of pants and eight shirts hanging on the rack, and it worked fine. I don’t know how it would do with heavy winter coats, but for a basic ironing rack, it does a great job. It doesn’t have wheels, but it slides along just fine on my tile floor. The thing that I like best about this rack is how it folds up, and how It doesn’t take up space when I put it away. Like I said, I have a small home, so anything that saves space in my house is great.

Easy to assemble!
I bought to help me purge my closet. So it's not used all the time, just when switching out seasonal items or purging items. A little thought has to go in placing clothes on the rack. Can't hang everything on the same side. Pretty sturdy to be so portable.

Not Sturdy
It was just a bunch of metal and plastic that was not sturdy at all. Parts did not fit well together. The units fell about three times. Was not a value for my money. Poorly made. Will not order again. We have threw away the clothing stands. Waste of money and time.

Flimsy
It works pretty good but the plastic at the joints break and it gets flimsy.

Sturdier than others like it that I've purchased in the past
I bought this a good few months ago and it has been in almost constant use ever since. It is sturdier than other ones I bought years ago and is less likely to collapse on you. It holds a LOT of clothes - I probably have a LOT more on it than it is supposed to hold! But it stands valiantly up to the task!Others I've purchased have, on each side, a hook that goes over from one side and hooks into a hole in the other side to keep the rack in the open position. This one is a much better design. There are two pieces of metal with a screw in the middle to form a bar that STAYS hooked to both sides at all times. Lift the bar in the middle so that it folds in half and you can easily close the rack for storage. Open the rack and press the bar down to "unfold" it and it makes a sturdy bar to hold the rack open. Of course there is a bar on both sides. I really wanted a white one, which they didn't have, but after using it side by side with white ones, I find I really like the bronze color better. Perhaps because most of the clothes on it tend toward darker colors. Opening it for use and closing it for storage takes only seconds. Now, if you need to move it while it is full of clothes.... not good. Above average compared to other folding racks like it because it is sturdier. But moving it from place to place when full is still not a fun task and will require two people if it has a lot of clothes on it because it will be heavy. If you are going to move a clothes rack from place to place quite a bit, I would recommend the kind that is on four wheels. I haven't seen any on wheels that collapse for storage, so I think you have to choose between easy to move around vs. easy to fold and store in a small amount of space!Overall, yes I recommend this clothes rack.

It is easy to assemble and very durable. Well constructed.
I love good engineering. I bought the exact same product 5 or 6 years ago. It was made out of a lighter metal then but now the rods are double the strength that they used to be and come together very tightly. It is easy to assemble. It looks terrific. The thing that impresses me the most is their skills in engineering as each bolt and metal piece are much more durable than they used to be. The washer on them are long lasting silicone and it just looks beautiful. Having had an older version of this rack, I know how important it is in my laundry day folding and hanging. For that reason I bought two of them and I sure am glad I did. Kudos to the engineering and to the manufacturing of this easy to put together scissor rack.
