Silver Flute W17RC38-04 6.5" Wool Cone Woofer - 4 ohm - Each

Disclaimer I have yet to install them that will be this weekend, I'm replacing Rockville pro 64's which are a great efficient budget 6.5" midbass driver but I want a regular bass & midbass woofer with more bass the Rockville "pro mids" do not really perform below 100htz very subwoofer dependant I wanted a driver to sound bassie when my 15" subs are turned down my Rockvilles have a tight snappy midbass but just have weak lows. Anywho I did wire one of the flutes to my home stereo free air and wow it made bass and wow they have a wide frequency response yi could actually hear highs from it! You could alllllmost use one of these as a full range and that's impressive from a woofer. They sound clear and smooth I'm very pleased I think once I drop it in my door they will wake right up and make some nice full clean bass.They play high enough so they could Excell in a 2 way system I have a 3 way in my vehicle so I will actually not be using them to there full potential. And at $35 each that's a stupid good value, with its well assembled soft parts the huge motor it's beautiful wool composite cone and it's stout cast frame they resemble a fairly high end drivers if this had a name like morel or scan speak on it people would be happy with its sound evenat a $120+ price tag.

This is the 7th or 8th set of speakers I've had in my truck. I replaced a set of EDT ES-06 drivers. I mention these because they are meant to be better on the low end. The first thing I noticed after installing the Silver Flutes was how much cleaner and richer the bass is. I was amazed.Drums on songs like Fairies Wear Boots are amazingly accurate and powerful. The detail in music like Vivaldi's Flute Concerto is moving, you can hear breaths. I have yet to play any loss-less WAVs so there is much more depth to explore with these drivers. I am using the crossover and EQ settings from my previous drivers and there is more to gained from these woofers.I cannot believe the quality for the price. I avoided these because of the cost, how good could they be. They compete with multi thousand dollar speakers by big name brands. These are the most articulate speakers I've owned, without question. If you care to do some research you'll see that these drivers are used in high end speaker cabinets that cost many times the price of these drivers.I should mention Madisound's customer service as well. My first set arrived damaged by FedEx. One woofer was perfect the other had been broken. I emailed Madisound right away and within a few hours I received a reply. They replaced the driver and shipped it the next day. This is a company that stands behind their products and I would highly recommend purchasing from them.

All over the net you will find people emphasizing the great build quality and the great value. You'll definitely find reviews about their sound quality.You wont find many (probably none, actually) who have stated anything negative about this series of speakers. Cause they do sound great. They are of excellent build quality. And they are without a doubt a speaker that can be compared to others that are double to tripple its price.I will never buy another "car audio" specific speaker again besides a subwoofer. "Car audio" specific interiors have to be one of the most price gouged audio products on the market and these Silver Flutes proved it to me, with an authority!All i can say is, just google them and read about how many different applications theses drivers have been used for. Its worth the time.One of my most favorite purchases ever.

I replaced the more expensive RE XXX 6.5"s with these in my car. I was kinda expecting them to be worse in some way but I just HAD to try them after reading what people have said about them. Plus, I'm a value kinda guy. I believe the phrase "you get what you pay for" is quite problematic. With these 4 ohm speakers, I noticed no loss in loudness compared to my previous 2 ohm ones. My amp is now delivering up to 110W RMS to each driver and they can still keep up with my two 15"s at 1400W RMS in my trunk. If anything, they sound.. Better!? It's hard to tell, though! They sound "sweet" in every sense of the word. As a warning, these are just as deep as the XXXs. Instead of messing with the mounting depth, I simply disabled my front windows. Problem solved! (They must be disabled. Before, I broke one of the XXXs AND one of my windows. Lesson learned. Or, don't be lazy like me and space them properly.)

I purchased 2 of these off [...] and these are incredible speakers for the price. Incredible. the sound quality is that of a 500$ speaker. The build quality is amazing too. Vocals and mids are so clear and accurate it completes my in-home system. Originally these were going in my car doors but after realizing the cones were made of wool, I decided to opt out because we all know what happens to wool when it gets wet. Not good. So if you live in a wet or humid area and plan on installing these in your car ill save you some time and money. Don't. I would recommend these speakers to anyone out there trying to add quality to their system. these are the best speakers you can get.
